  2. Nice to be back over here now that we're about to have a season. Who's with me for the game at Raleigh next Thursday (24th)?
  3. Brush it off let's go! The top line of Pominvile, Vanek, and Hodgson continues to dominate on offense, with 18 points and eight of the team's 10 goals. But they were on the ice for five of the six goals against Thursday. And a power play that was 3-for-10 in the first two games went 0-for-6 and allowed a shorthanded goal.
  4. Sabres have points in four straight games with a 3-0-1 record. Hurricanes have won three straight and lead the Southeast division with 25 points at 12-8-1. Hurricanes netminder Cam Ward out 6-8 weeks with an MCL injury. Pat Kaleta will miss his first game of five after being suspended for his hit from behind on Brad Richards. Will Thomas Vanek return after missing the last two games? Will Ryan Miller start yet again? Can RR fix the Sabres' dreadful Power Play? NHL.com Game Preview: http://www.nhl.com/i...avid=sb:preview Let's Go Buffalo!!!

  7. Speaking of which, I have two tickets but cannot go. PM me if you want them.
  8. Hair of the Dog. Best way to get over a bad experience with alcohol is more alcohol. Best way to get over a bad experience with hockey is.... more hockey. The Sabres don't have much time to lick their wounds. They have to get back to it. It's a good thing because right now I HATE THIS TEAM but after a satisfying evening of vicarious pillaging and baby eating and of course a Sabres win tonight, I'll love this team all over again. Like the Sabres, the Hurricanes are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned. But they're closer, so close they can taste it. It's up to the Sabres to put a bad taste in their mouths. Go Sabres! I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ullmark gets his first start of the NHL season in goal, considering the Sabres are playing on consecutive nights and Nilsson lost against Tampa Bay. (Sorry Anders, no hair of the dog for you!) We'll probably face Cam Ward for the Canes unless they decide to save him for the Rangers on Saturday. One other note: Justin Falk will go up against Justin Faulk tonight. Let's see.... Doohickie's featured goal scorer is..... Rasmus Ristolainen. Go get 'em, Rasmus!
  9. Looking for the dynamic duo of Eich and Samson to continue their excellent play. This should be a hard fought game; the Sabres are in it to win it because the kids are taking the team over while ROR watches. The Hurricanes still have a legit shot at a playoff spot. Here's hoping the Sabres can be spoilers this day. Egg's Hot Player is Daniel Catenacci. If he scores, remember you heard it here first! The word of the day is legs. Help spread the word.
