  1. I'm going out on limb with this but I'm predicting a first round out in the playoff's with these bold sideways moves.
  2. Turn grill on high and drink until clean. or Easy Off. Chose wisely my friend.
  3. RJ is not young and at the twilight of his broadcasting career and it's a sad reality, but who here wouldn't want to grow old doing what we love and being loved by many for doing it. May he call the SC winning game for the Sabres, then ride off into the sunset.
  4. You're absolutely right. But that in no way means that Boyes wasn't going to bust your b@lls for him derailing a thread.
  5. I've got2tit
  6. A Helicopter is just an awesome way to see anything! Roof top take off is a very unique experience.
  7. If you enjoy making a meal on that, you will be in love with the Q. The cast iron grates and stainless burner create the most even heating surface I've ever cooked on. I'm amazed at the amount of food it will cook. I love charcoal, but from lighting to eating in 30 minutes or less makes propane very appealing and not so much of a well prepared event.
  8. I'm not sure of your situation One, but if normally just 2 of you are eating than I recommend the Weber Q series. A little small, but enough to do a meal for 2 people. Portable, durable and well made. If in 4-5 years you needs change and you want to go big the Weber will have a lot of life left in it and makes a great tail gating grill. http://www.weber.com/grills/series/weber-q-series/1200
  9. Yes. I'm sure PLF gave an exit interview to TP and TB was not given high praise. First let me apologize. I should have started my post with "your opinion after reading Bucky's tweets are". I merged your post with another that had other information not from Bucky. It is the most logical explanation, especially if PLF left a sour taste in TP mouth with regards to TB as a person to have to work with.
  10. I'm not advocating a tank job, just no quick fixes to make it into the playoffs with no hope of getting past the first round while giving up picks and or prospects. It's ok to lose, because they are young, but it's no longer ok to lose to achieve a draft pick.
  11. Does this mean that Battista becomes VP of hockey operations? You're saying that TP doesn't care about who brought in more money, but it is a better work environment under RB? TP wanted that work environment for the Sabres front office? But it also doesn't hurt that RB is really good at bringing in corporate dollars and selling the logo? So it's not even close to a mutual parting of ways? If there is any one thing that happens from all this I'd like to hear Pat's side of the story.
  12. Selling to WNY corporations. Suits, parties, VIP packages. The money making side of things.
  13. My speculation is that it took a little time to iron out who does what within PSE. Black wound up under Brandon in the hierarchy of the corporate structure and he chose not stay with that situation. Within his contract he probably needed released from his current duties to officially interview with other corporations/teams. I'm sure he was being courted, but he can now officially do interviews.
  14. Mrs. Racer's favorite movie is Steel Magnolias. One of her favorite lines in the move is "If you don't have somethin thing nice to say about somebody, you need to come over here and sit beside me..." . Mrs. Racer will pour you a drink while quoting that, you don't need Vegas cause you're welcome here any time..
  15. It summer time on a hockey thread, you are forgivin.. it's not like your some moral-less person throwing a party and inviting girls over
  16. I go with this. Yes the loss of his father was an impact on his drive to succeed, but even if he wants to his body won't let him. He made it that to win you needed to be an athlete in golf, no more John Daley-esk golfers will win. In shape and on top of their game now. Young, fit and determined. He changed golf forever.
  17. They have a disposable incomes that can allow them to spent around at least $100.00 in just gas and license in the hopes of getting 75 lbs of freezer ready meat during our (PA's) deer season. Throw in under armour and scent blocker clothing, all to go out for 2 weeks as much as you can (3-4 days?). Golfing at a nice club is just as cheap by comparison. Rich may be a bit extreme but certainly not a sport a person that is having a tough time making ends meet would take up. It's not as it was for my Grandfather's generation where it was more of a necessity. He lived on Abbott Rd in South Buffalo. He would take the bus with his shot gun to the end of the bus line. Hunt the fields and farm land for birds, squirrels and rabbits. Return on the last bus home. This was 1930's and 40's, he was in his 30's and 40's. Imagine someone doing that today. I still have the L.C. Smith he hunted with. Kicks like a mule. Grandpa was tough.
  18. North West Pa it's shooting sports. More Sporting Clay and Skeet courses here than ever, even in a steady declining population base. I see flyers for three gun events, which where never heard of 10 years ago. Boomers are dropping golf and taking up shooting sports, but still not hunting. In truth, hunting is a rich mans sport. By the time you buy a license, buy gas to get to the hunting area, and even if you dress and butcher the game yourself you can get meat and the supermarket for half the price.
  19. Sorry, didn't make myself clear. But that top 4 is how I thing the Sabres start camp and hoping to land a top 4 left side proven NHL player, but not a necessity.
  20. You changed the dynamics of the perceived hunt. You have an experienced hunter vs. young prey. The party seems to be of similar aged people, the experienced vs. naïve is not an argument that can be used.
  21. I think Pysyk is penciled into that position. I believe it's the reason he stayed in Rochester all last year playing the left side.
  22. The other reason is legacy. Bringing the cup to Toronto will be remembered long after any of his wins in New Jersey. Also there is that perceived "*" next to the Jersey teams with fans as the most boring hockey every played, but won cups. He's in it for ego.
  23. I only played on the beer/bar league teams, never knew what the recreation was in the rec leagues. Now I know what I've been missing!
  24. There where hookers involved?
  25. Can't see Jerry Jones doing what Ralph has done. Makes one proud to be a fan of a team owned by a person like that.
