My neighbor has it. A contractor that installed it on his own home. Wanted to make sure he knew everything about it before he started selling it to customers. Unless you heat with electric and it's your only choice he would not recommend. The re-coup cost out weighted the payback for all other heat sources. Basically it would take 20 plus years to get back e the additional expense over installing a natural gas furnace. He found out that with a well insulated home the geo thermal failed to heat his house below around 30 deg f, so either a furnace or the existing electric was need to assist in the heating. This past winter as it was below 20 deg for over 2 months the geo thermal pump was useless. Works great though for the 2-3 weeks a year we need air conditioning.

Sorry Hank, that's not good. However what is good is you know and can do something about it!

It takes an amazingly strong willed and determined person to kill them selves, a person of very little will and determination goes to jail for what he is going for. From my life street learnings.... Inmates will absolve each others' crimes in a weird kind of way once they are in prison. Except for those that do crimes against the young involving sex. They find people that can do or did that as being the lowest of the low. He will receive a future in prison that will be worse than what you predict for him.

My next rest and ice chance looks to be a week in November. I'll call and ask for an appointment and see what he will do for me. You just seemed to confirm what I figured was going to happen, and I appreciate it.

Bursitis and tendinitis in both shoulders. Been struggling with it for 3 (probably way longer but that was when I got diagnosed)years. Lots of physical therapy, light therapy. Work out with light weights and stretch to keep your range of motion they tell me,but don't work out to much. Finally got a 5 day prescription for prednisone and have felt good for 3 months. How often will your Doc give you a shot or the medrol/prednisone? I was hoping that I could call and get a refill as the pain is now back to being constant and I figure I have a month till I'm limited in what I can do again.

From a wackjob. BTY. If Mrs. racer hadn't been an office manager for the most demonic of all bosses there can be a Doc, I wouldn't know that your profession is the best at sarcasm. If you find a right handed version and are able to shoot it do it! Which side the bolt is on or where the shell discharges are concerns for lefties yes. But the weight, grip points, finger placement as compared to the stock and trigger pull won't change. If it feels great when shooting a righty it will also as a lefty but easier to load/pump and discharge shell/actuate the bolt action. My brother was a lefty. I watched him shoot everything. The worst for him was shooting a righty semi shot gun. For what it's worth in the movie Saving Private Ryan, the American Sniper was a lefty with a righty bolt action. Closer by my experience but still not dirt cheap like 6-7 years ago. I posted some prices before but if you can handle 7-11 cents a round you can find tons of ammo on the interwebs.

It is very relevant and personal to me Liger. Those that prey on the old or dying, or with an illness, or for a kindness in their hearts for another sick or impoverished human or animal is one of the lowest forms of life in my opinion. We live next to one of these disgusting people, and he calls himself a Preacher. It was nice that through humor Oliver was able to shed light on the predators. But I still look at my neighbor and believe that I would have no moral hangover if he ever shares one pointy word with me and I beat the ever living piss out him for who he cons his money from. Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Buddhist, Jewish or what ever your belief is, we each have a morality ingrained through years of education. My question is, if you possessed the strength allowing you to pick such a person up and slam then down across your knee all but breaking them in two (totally WWF style)....are you moral just for doing it and eliminating such a predator, or morally unjust for the harming of another human? The preaching of the Catholic Church as I believe says It would be a morally unjust act, quite simply because the question that should always be asked is "what would Jesus do?" and I can't see Jesus pulling a wrestling move on someone and breaking them in two. But the "for the good of human kind" in me wants to break him. I may have just crossed the line from theology thread to personal confessional.

Sorry, that was a sleepless pointy post and no fault of your own. I should have never responded the way I did. I can be such a bitch... Please explain further the crash. Time, speed, what you hit and why. With out a doubt as an engineer you have rerun the whole crash in your head and come to some conclusions to improve performance and safety features .

It is every bit a money issue. I have been asked to attend Diocesan planning seminars to review the closing of churches due to the lack of Priests. No atheists, just down to earth discussions. You want the Catholic Church's PC version of why the celibacy act, you gave it. They sure as heck are not going to tell the world it was all a money issue. My dad grew up in South Buffalo. Back in his day a good education was only to be had at a private Catholic school (you public schoolers can debate this all you want but the Catholics where preached this). If you where from a large family the Church would expect that at least one male and one female member of the family would enter into the services to become a Priest or a Sister in exchange of a family education (this also meant College). My dad is 75 and the average age of a Priest is ~62. That practice ended with his generation and they've never been able to fill the rectories since. They are not looking for change all of a sudden in these planning seminars due to Priests' faith or commitment, but because they have figured out 35 % of all churches will be closed in 20 years due to no Priests. Change is happening because hundreds on millions of dollars are on the line. At the same time they have initiated the Deacon program. A person with a bachelors degree can apply to the Church to gain admittance to their Deacon program. Over the course of 8 years the Church will give you an education (theology/ psychology) and in the ministries such as in prisons, hospitals and shelters enough to become a Deacon in the Catholic Church. But one caveat is you must sign a pledge that if your spouse passes you can not remarry. In essence they will make you a Priest with the passing of your wife, play the odds on that in your mind. In our Diocese's this past year 22 deacons and 2 Priests where ordained, we have ~120 parishes. Currently we have 118 active Priests, and ~10 Priests per year retiring because they are in their mid seventies. How long before some very wealthy parishes are run by a Deacon with the "waiting for a Priest" label? The change back to allowing married Priests may take a few generations to become fully accepted, but to the Church it will be a short time. Considering a major change to the Church may not happen again for a 1000 years.

Went to a "fancy" sporting clay outing. A beautiful Shooting club in Pennsylvania. An introduction was given to the guests by the club president on safety and protocol. Safety will be adhered to and all guns will be breached before exiting the stand and spent shells will be placed in containers along side the stands. No swearing or profanity will be tolerated. No throwing of guns will be tolerated. No alcohol will be tolerated while on the course. If you wish to get drunk, swear and throw things join a country club. I hear that it's acceptable practice there. Here we act as Ladies and Gentlemen. The gentleman giving that speech was a "blue collar" worker that was one of the many that built one of the nicest gun clubs I have every been to. Love and passion drove that club more than money and hierarchy. It is more common place in my findings to see that type of club than a club built on status and the money spent on your firearm. I understand where you are coming from. Once a loading weapon is in your hands you are expected to be the very definition of an esquire. I have an understanding of your mojo, but for the complete opposite reason, mine is all good. I've purchased quite a few used guns with no moral conflict of their past as I knew their future would be used going out with family and friends to create some of our fondness memories.

Yes there are married Priests, but you almost answered your own questions, it's a rarity and not a common practice as it once was. The Bishop of that Parish decides whether or not an Episcopal Priest may become a Catholic Priest. The Church made it a requirement once they figured out that it cost a lot to feed and board large families. It was a pure money issue. Th Church will be forced to change as they close very lucrative parishes because they don't have a Priest to fill it. Fun reading for those that venture, even Ink. http://atheism.about.com/od/romancatholicism/a/celibacy.htm

Went to the mountains just to "look up". A little no amenities federal camp ground with a clearing on top of a mountain. Grabbed a blanket and a few drinks and laid in the meadow for 2 hours. Best weekend we've had in a long time.

Sabres hosting their own prospect tournament Sept 12-14
woods-racer replied to pi2000's topic in The Aud Club
Going off of memory, doesn't Pysyk have 20 plus NHL games played and he is 23ish? If anyone would like to see him play as a warm up to pre-season that's understandable. I personally would like to see some one less expectant not only to make the NHL, but also be expected to be good at the NHL level at the start of the 2015 season at the tournament. I'm border line on Chad Ruwedall (butchered name yes?) being at the tournament. I guess I just don't think guys that have been in the AHL going on 2-3 years with more than 20 NHL games as prospects as much as professions honing their game for the big league. -

I wasn't quick enough. I believe the same as Mattpie, have to pay their own way not to loose eligibility. -
GMTM if he doesn't make a big trade at the trade deadline to ensure a playoff birth.

I would like to see Baptiste, Guhle, Fashing , Florentino. Do we still have Compher and Hurley? If we do their progress would be good to see. Ullmark and Johanson have any chance to make it to the NHL? There is some talent still waiting to perk to the NHL level that has been brewing for a while. -
