  1. It was a home run. Not sure I'd want the sock man around me let alone a kid, creepy. Who was talking about the 2 guys and a midget in a bear suit? Sock guy may be a continuation of that.
  2. Is that the first time "Napoleon" was used to describe Bettman? It's a perfect fit, and if your the originator, well done!
  3. You said it your self, when they have marquee players they are profitable. They are on the verge of losing Malkin, if history repeats it self they are on the verge of a financial decline, another bankruptcy may be to harsh to assume. If some one does buy the Penguins and spends 800 million though, they are not Toronto and fans will not go to games with mediocre teams, bankruptcy very well could be in their future. One last edit... My take on Pittsburgh sports.. Football, live and die buy it for generations. Baseball is the next favorite, always hoping for another run. Hockey, a nice mix for the winter but the fans have other options and will not put up with a tank season(s) and hence the bankruptcy(s). I'm through that city monthly, when challenging for a deep run in the playoffs the Penguins are a hot topic. This year, they where tuned out before the playoffs even began with baseball talk on sports radio.
  4. So your saying that public stoning and treating of women of property, and even though they have technology advanced enough to know that this barbaric, they choose to live that way?
  5. Pysyk made the comment that he spent last year playing on the left side. Your Bogo/Pysyk matchup may have been foreseen by GMTM this time last year.
  6. It's not winning, it's profits. When selling a business you use past performance to predict future earnings. The Penguins have done well with profits, but stocked poorly for future winning. A new owner is going to look and see what has been done to ensure future winning both on the ice and financially. Then Sabres sold relatively "cheap" because there was little past performance to sell of off and what previous history was a valuable did not make for a good sell. The Penguins are in the complete opposite position, great profitable history, but not a very good forecast for the future. It's an MSRP of 800 million when using the "look at what we've done in the past". Potential buyers are not going to paint such a rosy picture.
  7. I thought you meant they where forward trade bait. Competing for bottom six, absolutely agree.
  8. Why thank you! Now if I can get that PH D guy to say the same thing I'll officially have a doctor telling me I'm not crazy and will have family bragging rights!
  9. If it doesn't work we may have condemned hundreds of millions. Them and N. Korea are the two ZFG leaders that would use atomic weapons and hope for the best(for them). To me we have risked the sum of the planet for the sake of a peoples of one country...
  10. It may sound lame, but if there is wording in the agreement that the Iranian government must put up enough cell towers and give free wifi for 50% of the population ( or some way for the Iranian people to see the outside word un-filtered). It may work.
  11. My fear is that this new deal gives the Iranians the capability of producing atomic weapons, and we wind up with a Cuban Crises II in the next 8 -12 years. This time with Venezuela(?) as the recipient and we have president that will let it happen. If you think we are spending to much on defense now, wait till that happens.
  12. Unless I'm crazy the young lady is about to connect on an over hand right to the chin, she's a righty...
  13. That's a lot of money for a team will a tough road ahead. They have not drafted well, their minor league team is not stocked with prospects. For the last decade they have shipped off high round draft picks for players that they thought would give them deep playoff runs. In a year or two their going to have no Malkin, an at best average defense, questionable goaltending, an aging Crosby and an over paid primo Doña. Their headed for hockey purgatory of finishing just in/out of the last playoff spot, or a self induced tank in my opinion.
  14. You son a beech nut you! I read your post in that thread, then poof gone. Thought I was going crazy!
  15. Nashville. Long weekend. Sabres game. You have a reservation for a hotel already, right?
  16. Old people don't know which pedal their foot is on and slam into buildings almost killing people. They don't go to jail. They took out a pane of glass. Will pay heavy fines and loss of license. But which one would you rather see at a traffic light a few months from now on your way to work?
  17. So what do they do about a good No.1 then? My dogs mark everything, then go roll is some dead animal so they can't be tracked. I think it just smells good so they eat it...
  18. True, but I'm picturing this conversation... What just happened? Not sure but I think you backed into the building. Where in enough trouble already, lets park this thing before something really bad happens and see if we can find a ride. Yah, can only get worse if we keep driving around.
  19. Please explain how eating poop will help protect the pack. And if you give me some bad breath nonsense...I'll retract all of my positive pedantic comments mister!
  20. Uncle Weave
  21. An old guy takes a swing at a kid for stealing his stuff. A Canadian kid has a few beers and run into a T-HO. An American drunk kid tweets a porn star to hook up. Welcome to the big happy normal dysfunctional family. Have non of you people ever been to a family reunion? Who's the crazy uncle that no body talks about is the real question?
  22. He's human now. Before he was Team Captain status!
  23. RoR should have said O'Douls Yaah!
  24. Part of the job is to stream scrimmages and to get audio from the people asking questions during interviews.
