  1. This is very true, and the Sabres as an organization seem to be going about the PR of it all very well considering it wasn't that long ago the debacle of Hasek's tribute was shown to us. It just seems inevitable that at some point they are going to have some sort of PR brain fart, or maybe it's just me?
  2. Holy cow Eichel better hurry up and pick a number, Hoss is grumpier than normal Hoss here this week!
  3. 98 He will always be one better than McDavid.
  4. May they suffer the curse of the Toronto fan, bad, but never bad enough
  5. The Vegas Valkyries.. Your fate awaits you...
  6. It's eggs, cheese and bacon on a large round piece of toast. Culinary Evolution is a complimentary term I don't think you where going for. Maybe we can call breakfast pizza pre-modern era, or dark age food ?
  7. I second this request. You are one sick and slightly demented mind, and that's funny, Leg Wand.... he, he he, he he he.... If I was a porn star that would be my name.....LegWand (insert sarcasm emicon now)
  8. TrueBlue and Liger, To me you have done a wonderful job of describing the fine line a GM walks between having the Penguins or the Blackhawks. They take educated risks and rely on scouts and try their best to yield a winner while maintaining the core. Both teams have done that. Heck, LA has done that and didn't even make the playoffs this year. To me there are just to many variables in the recent trade acquisitions to not believe that there needs to be a significant amount of "luck" involved for them to turn into wins on the ice. Wasn't it Chi Chi Rodriguez that has the quote " I practiced that shot every day to get that lucky"? When these new trades come in and prove that GMTM has practiced every day to get "that lucky", I will be a believer. BTW, I feel like a ray of sunshine compared to what GoDD, PA, and Yuri might be typing...where are they?
  9. I hope you both are as sure that he will sign a contract extension as you are of his play. Post that and I will sleep better.
  10. I see what the artist is trying to convey, I see what GMTM is building in the big picture. But the Sabres can still be the Penguins of 2014-15 if they the reward doesn't justify the means. We may have the Crosby- Malkin success story, and not the Toews-Kane success we anticipate with Reinhart and Eichel. Has GMTM given the Sabres the epitome of balance in the line up like Chicago, or the sacrificing of draft picks for the future is now way of the Penguins? I would have gladly accepted the ride of fandom that has been one of a Penguins fan before the tank. My expectations are greater now that I have lived the tank.
  11. Bondage, self deprecation, do you pour hot wax on yourself? These are the questions going un-answered after reading your post... Then I burned up a brain cell and thought SARCASM! You could have saved a brain cell today if you used the sarcasm emicon.. Give graciously today to the sarcasm emicon fund to help prevent the un-needed destruction of brain cells at sarcasmemicon.org
  12. Very open and straight forward. This is what we did, this is who is on your team. We have nothing to hide and don't hold anything back.
  13. That's the rub, only the future will tell if he won or lost. Kane can be a future name hanging in the rafters or a head case and a locker room cancer. Lehner may be a practice puck hit to the head of never playing a regular season game again and a normal life. He may also be the goalie for Sabres for the next decade and be one of the best stat wise ( I will always believe Hasek as the best in my lifetime). ROR could walk in a year as an UFA. There is risk, there is reward. I wanted all of the reward of the tank, I didn't know all the risk still associated with it was along for the ride. I want my cake and eat it too...
  14. My reaction after this weekend and after watching the results of the mishandling of Grigorenko is that the plan is to have Sam in Rochester for the start of the year unless he proves without a doubt he is NHL ready. He'll have strength, nutritional, and skating coaches. He'll be the bionic center. He will come back to the big club stronger, faster and a better skater.
  15. I feel that the price that was paid by GMTM was to high for the players he got back in the trades, he seems to have "lost" is my initial reaction. But I keep thinking I can't have my cake and eat it too... We had a GM that "won" every trade, he never built a perennial winner. We have a GM that has "lost" every trade (or at least way over paid), is he building a perennial winner? I wanted a GM with moxy, vision, and a no holds bar attitude. GMTM is all that and more and now I feel he's to aggressive and giving up to much of the future. I knew this day would come, when the draft numbers turned to actual players either in the draft or via trade. I think I over hyped it and wanted more. I think during the tank I hit a low that that I thought could be erased this weekend, and that turned out to be untrue, watching the Sabres play to win will be the only cure.
  16. I'm giving you the middle finger eleven right now for that . We may be close to Canada but we've yet to produce a Bieber or a Celine Dion-ish type here and are proud to say so, besides they are Oshawa General fans like Derrico :nana: Remember there is still a young man named Nick that is a Sabre prospect still here, and hopefully will be tearing it up in the NHL or AHL come October. I hope the best for Conner, great young man, may Jack and him push each other to the hall of Fame with Jack being there with more Cups.. . We will be glad to do it again for any generational prospect or just a regular lowley no.1 overall pick!
  17. If you can get the people of Latvia in on this Ennis is a lock!
  18. You sold me on the up hill part ! Every year we stay some where that the septic hook up is 6" higher than the black tank hook up, this will be purchased just for that campground!
  19. Chiavetta's chicken with a bunch of skewered red potatoes and skewered mixed vegetables. And I am drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade, just cause it was in the fridge.
  20. Sorry, I thought it was an after work we'll see you there right? thing. Getting paid to watch base ball is a good day!
  21. Please tell me the reason you where late is because you cut out of work a little early and stopped at one of your favorite brew pubs. After finishing your second beer thinking you might not even go to the game to hang with co-workers, but thought all heck it's a beautiful day so why not?
  22. The hockey gods will be pleased by this! Robert Howard-ic. Say it like Arnold Swartzenegger would....
  23. This is the way I feel. Not just NHL, but NBC did a pretty good job with the Olympics in airing games on MSNBC and NBCSN. I hope they make a go of it and it works for them. No other big names in broadcasting are breaking down the NHL boardroom doors to get the rights to broadcast games.
  24. Me either. 404 File not found
