  1. The fourth and fifth goal looked like total domination. I felt like I was watching the 80’s Islanders.
  2. I’ve been dying to ask someone that has the training to answer this question. What surgery is he asking for? Partial laminectomy? That’s a walk in the park. Why deny that? Even a worthless bozo like me can get that and go back into the pile in 4-6 weeks. Is he asking for a full laminectomy with a replacement disk? That’s a different story. If he’s looking to do that at his age then he is fool. Even a trifling talent such as myself would be denied that surgery with the expectation to continue my full contact career. My good friend had it done and the career as an Ironworker was finalized. We aren’t worth the weight of the fingers on the keys to even tell the story, that’s how prohibited that surgery is IMO.
  3. This is really a big problem that needs legislation to bring equity to that market. It’s like treating a show/event like stocks, betting on their value. Only unlike stocks, venue seats are a fixed price. The “betting” on ticket values by resellers damages the cost/profit margins that shows/events use to project future costs/viability of shows yet to be. Throws the entire playbook of promoters right into the toilet and has the trickle down effect of limiting what shows they are willing to bring into your area.
  4. Just started Far Cry 5. The story is so friggin weird that I love it.
  5. It’s almost like the word got out that being President was easy, that even an idiot could do it.
  6. Good instincts. TIL that heme is basically the iron carrying part of blood. Found in plants too but much less so. As Impossible claims in the link, it’s what makes meat taste like meat. It seems they cultivate a plant form through genetically modified yeast. The factory looks like a laboratory and I suppose it is. Impossible meat may become impossible for me to try. https://impossiblefoods.com/heme
  7. The org emailed me a countdown clock😍 I think they miss me😉
  8. Mrs. iT won the Democratic nomination for town council at caucus a few weeks ago. Two local current council members running for re-election already on the Republican ticket showed up to challenge for the Dem nomination too. Apparently her platform (access to town water for all residents) challenges their platform (nothing done for anyone in town) so they decided that no choice for town council was better than having a choice. They lost bigly (seen what I done there?). If she were to win then she would be the first Dem in the 200+ year history of this town to win that office. At first I thought she had no chance but there seems to be a lot of excitement for her efforts. I’m proud of her. Demographics are fluid, man. Jump in the game.
  9. Well? End results? I haven’t tried impossible meat. I won’t seek it out but I won’t turn it down either. I can see consuming it as a moral alternative (as pertaining to animal rights morality, not good for Mother Earth morality) but certainly not a healthier one. (I consume as little processed foods as possible) https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/is-the-impossible-burger-healthier-than-beef/
  10. I’ve had people railing against masks twenty years before Covid. We wear them while working in hostile environments as PPE. “They are saving your lives and preserving your health” I would tell them. How can you argue with someone’s lack of understanding? Not only would these pumpkin heads not wear the PPE correctly, they wouldn’t even follow decon protocols and bring all those toxins right home to their homes and families! I even caught a guy draining the gray water tank from decon right into a city street! You want to know the really funny part? When I send them packing for failure to comply they bark about “freedom!”. I take great pleasure reminding them(as someone should have already taught them this tidbit) that “freedom means we are free from oppression, not free from obligation.” I’ll also add that that freedom from oppression isn’t free either. Lots of hard work and personal sacrifice involved in preserving that. Go figure. I’m not saying that you can’t be a cruel heartless bastard either. Be whatever you want to be just don’t be so surprised when there are consequences as a result. Food for thought if you’re the type for that sort of thing. If not? That’s fine too. Just stay a fathom or so away from me.😉
  11. I’d like to add that my ticket rep Andrew is a good kid. Didn’t like him at first but he is doing a fantastic job regardless of the insanity of uncertainty that all of these entertainment venues have been facing.
  12. I wanted to comment on this as well. Only a true Amerk fan would be moved by this. I’m not saying which way either. The org has been pretty good to us season ticket mules. Moneys all carried over and we got free AHLTV.....I did not watch one single Fing game. Can’t stand Stevens or his oxygen deprived comrade. If I can’t be there in my GD seat then no thanks. The org has dropped some coin on the arena though. Bathrooms(my major complaint), upper atrium/concession areas and I’m sure @LTS will be glad to hear(no pun intended)(ok, I lied) that they have put in a new sound system. I credit the Pegulas for this. We both know these improvements were beyond Lovely’s abilities. I’m vaccinated liked a mofo and ready to get my ass back in my seat, good or bad. And who the hell in their right mind doesn’t miss Taylor?
  13. I would go a step further and include what is possible in general in that standard. Would a civilization that has achieved the feats that we see in these videos have evolved with the same type of interface with the physical world that we possess? Things like emotion, competition, etc? Could they have taken the steps they have as a collective rather than as an individual? The concept of harming another member of the species is not even possible because the entirety of the species is necessary? What would they think of the situation they see this planet mired in? Would they even want to interact with us? As a few of you have mentioned, the almost insurmountable space to be crossed would definitely involve traveling through time as well unless these things have been wandering from their home world for eons, just now arriving. These craft that “splash”, how surprised would you be to learn that they have been in the deepest parts of the oceans long before mankind was here? Terran as well. We assume intelligent life would take our form and be our size. Yes. I’ve seen The Abyss. Then again, those objects that exhibit those rotating motions, it is exactly what I imagine a fourth spacial dimension being doing when attempting to interact with a third spacial dimension. (I imagine a fourth dimensional space viewed from my third dimension as a box that’s constantly rotating in and out of itself). Going back to the quote, how are we to know that these are not a bunch of unrelated encounters? Can we even rule out a “divine” presence when we view some of these military videos? We as a species like to put things into columns but what if there is an entire universe of stuff that we are missing? And if they are alien overlords looking to extinguish mankind then @inkmanwill have to fight me for the front of the line. I’m pretty friggin rough, bro. You might have to get sizzled by the second dose of the flesh melting laser. At least you get to watch me melt first😉
  14. It’s not funny in any universe. In my world wife jokes are way over the line and get you a fat lip.
  15. This is ***** obnoxious. Who the ***** are you? Maybe some of those good posters would come back and we could have those good discussions again if you weren’t allowed to delete/move/ban others and then post trash like this. Self moderate mother *****.
  16. And then the Easter Bunny marries Santa....
  17. I would have preferred ‘gored by Frank Gore’ but as my moniker indicates, I’m an admitted Ahole. Carry on.
  18. Tyler “I can’t hit a bull in the ass with a barn shovel” Bass.
  19. My season seats have become a cash account that carries over to next season. It seems reasonable to me. There was no mention in the email about the early renewal gift/trinket they promise. This year it was a jacket which would have been pretty cool. Hopefully they come through eventually. Hopefully we get back to live hockey. It’s been a big part of my happiness.
  20. And the entire collection minus this years.
  21. Mrs. iT and I have a tradition of carving a Funkin craft pumpkin every year. This is my work from this year. I love these Funkin things. Here are my previous efforts.
  22. I prefer “quantum spookiness”.
  23. 24/33 for 315 yds 73%comp; 4 Td by arm,1 with the legs. The best part he is still growing. Without that obvious mistake by the officials he would be 25/33 for 315+(whatever those yards were) 76%comp. We most certainly have a QB.
  24. Kroft>Knox. The Rams are a very good team and the Bills beat them. I was certain the game was over at 4th and 9 but I communed with the Force and saw the future. Or my renewed belief in them altered dark matter itself and combined with the vibrations from countless in the Bills Mafia to amplify their grit? Or these guys don’t know how to quit? 3-0. Winning makes me feel like a winner. Keep this sh!t up please.
  25. She’s a good dog. She’d wear anything that made people pay attention to her.
