  1. If I were him A)This wouldn’t have happened and B)I would be so consumed that my stupidity was the direct cause of a promising young person’s death that my fear for my sanity would completely displace any fear for my job.
  2. I should love the Canadiens as my paternal family is from there. I really don’t though. Love the city and the people (spent many days there in my youth), hate the team. I also hate Tampa but I love hockey so I’m glued. F them both though.
  3. My FIL has hired a company to put on a show two weekends from now at my place. The daughter from Boston is visiting with the kids for the first time since the shutdown. It’s a big deal to all of us. We’ve printed up a flyer to inform the neighbors that it is happening so they can plan accordingly. There’s a separate flyer for the really close neighbors with an invite to a cookout and front row seats. I should add that the closest neighbor is 600’ away. Next closest, 1000’. You get the idea. We have the room and then some but we are still considering our neighbors. If an Ogre can do it, anyone can.
  4. The leftover sleeve makes a nice hard hat liner.
  5. I’m accustomed to working my knuckles to the bone for my lot but this job has me standing around. Well, I’m actually sitting around in a rigging truck. I’m waiting for things to rig. Today there wasn’t a single thing to do. They are raining money down on me and all I have to do is be there. Very rare for me but it’s a new world with far less people to do the things and such. This project will end like the rest of them but I’m afraid my thumbs may be worn out from holding my pockets open so long.
  6. Sooooo, does that make the fans Krakheads?
  7. Tell them that B is for better. Is there any premium paid for B or C?
  8. The big snow game vs the Colts was nuts. It my wife, three brothers (girlfriends/wives) and two first cousins (one of them being a Colts fan). The color rush against the snow, the Tre snow angels (you could see that he was having a blast!) and the playful snowballs thrown at the sheriffs. I was grateful to be there. The win against the Packers was a really good one. Loudest game I’ve ever experienced. My Packers fan FIL rented a limo and brought a bottle of champagne “for the winner to enjoy on the ride home.” We were generous and poured him a glass😉
  9. This part has always been clear to me (that’s why I tuned out long ago). I guess I also understand how they get those gigs so I guess my real issue is why anyone cares until it happens. I know that fanatics care but it seems comparable to wondering how you will die to me.
  10. I played in a charity golf tournament today and realized on my approach to the first green that I left my pitching wedge and 6 iron at home. I improvised with my sand wedge. Then I tried the 9 iron next hole and settled on the sand. Ended up being one of my better rounds. I suspect that I buckled down a little more on the tee in anticipation. Or maybe I should use the sand wedge more? There were a lot of steep approaches to the green and it did help me elevate the ball. Didn’t miss the 6 at all.
  11. I don’t regard any of these puffballs opinions very highly considering they are opinions in general. Add the source into the equation and ho boy. I’ll trust your opinion on this though. How do these folks end up with the gig? No inside scoop. Nothing new on the outside angle. @Brawndohas better takes and he does it for free!
  12. There’s a Seinfeld episode for every situation in life. That show was genius.
  13. The Stand-In. Jerry sets Elaine up with the guy who takes his wiener out at the end of the date. Jerry “He took it out?!” Elaine “It. Out.” (I used iT cuz I used to be iTinSn) https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0697786/
  14. iT. Out. (You post-Sienfelds won’t get this one) My buddy Kenny used to tell everyone that he was hung like a light switch. Is he invited to the party?
  15. Well, that’s two different routes. The Allen throw starts slightly earlier than Trube’s because the receiver is covering less ground and the pass needs to come out sooner. I’m not saying Josh didn’t throw a better ball, but I’m keeping my wiener in my pants.
  16. Mayweather/Paul was news. A chump sparred with a champ.
  17. I think that there would be more fun involved by taking the telescope to the site of the tower 13 miles away and trying to find our house.
  18. We live at about 1200 ft overlooking the south from our house with the SW being the direction that we can see the farthest. We see multiple levels of horizon and have wondered how far we can actually see. We’ve tracked thunderstorms we can see via radar to central PA but it’s tough to have true reference to the horizons. We see three cell towers with lights by eye. One is close and we know exactly where it is. The other two were mysteries. I recently bought a 5” reflector telescope with a 3x Barlow. Very starter level. We spotted another tower on the farthest horizon that can’t been seen by eye and Mrs. iT was hell bent on going out to find that closest tower. I thought she was nuts but she’s been doing research on cell tower locations and tonight she was so hell bent that I caved and we went out hunting. We found a tower 13 miles from home that has to be the closest one that we see by eye. That means the next one is even farther and the one on the far horizon that we need the telescope to see must be ridiculously far away considering that at sea level you can only see 3 miles out. I am fine with wondering where these things are but my wife is apparently not. Apparently she is a crazy person.
  19. The lumbar herniation that lead to my fusion was a small tear that devolved into a large herniation. I was only 28 and full of myself so I carried on through the pain until I started losing function in my left leg. My point? If you’re in enough pain/loss of function that you need the extreme of surgery then you need to change you’re expectation of what you will be capable of. I appreciate @SDSputting up those X-rays. Those implants were not made for hockey players that are still seeking employment.
  20. Good Lord! Every guy I know with that surgery is was the last resort. Who the hell would perform that on someone that young without severe limitations? Dr. Nick?!
