Mrs. iT has been known to use the ignore button on me from time to time :p

I want to call you the Huck just so I can use that line from Seinfeld about the Drake. "Everyone loves the Huck!" Great post, man. You've captured the feeling of being a Sabres convert perfectly. Love the gifs you use also. They always make me smile. If you ever come to the US we'll have to kill some beers.

PA was right: the Terry Pegula press conference thread.

This is 100% accurate. If you're in the business of employing highly skilled employees that's a huge problem. -
Expansion Draft -- Sabres moves and speculation

Post season Preds are looking good with guys that play like Will does. -
IMO Linus was great. Like MODO says, no goalie had more saves. I believe he held that title for the entire second half of the season. He was a work horse. It would be unfortunate for the Sabres if LV takes him.
-
I was not impressed last season. THIS season he was friggin phenomenal. Swallows up the high rebounds and puts the low ones where his D should be. Doesn't get suckered out of net like Miller. If he goes to LV then so be it but it's a loss to the organization.

Well to be truthful, that would probably break everybody's eyeballs. Just sayin. -

My poor little mother was taken again by ambulance today. Her blood sugar dipped to 27... unresponsive. Hours after her nurse had been there. She spent two weeks inpatient a month ago. Her chemo has been destroying her. She lost her husband of 50 yrs 6 months ago. She's down to 68lbs. I'm 5 hrs away on a big project that really needs me. My family needs me....I need to earn a living. WTF?!

Eichel misses $2MM bonus for not hitting pt/game mark
Ogre replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
This one kid in the neighborhood would peel the stickers off and rearrange them. Looked sloppy. I pulled mine apart and reassembled it. No one knew any different. They also didn't give a rats ass either. Also. That Eichel kid will be just fine without his bonus. -
I missed tonight's game and last nights game. Some silly going on at work so I'm hunkering down and putting on the foil. Amerks whip the Comets 5-0. Best part is Muse was in net! Grant with a goal and assist on Austin's goal. Schneider, Bailey and Danforth with the other 3.

My initial reaction to this shutout loss with a couple games left is exactly the same as my reaction to a very smelly fart.

Nuke plants get that sort of reassurance with their day to day operations. Main stream building of America can be very barbaric. Machinery being used from the 70s/80s is still happening. OSHA regulations use the term adequate a lot. Things were getting better in the 90's then W happened and things have been devolving in this industry ever since. The science is there to keep people alive. The will to do the same is something I question every day. The budget for worker safety isn't a big concern to the average citizen.

These gantry cranes are on the smaller side. They have a walkway that needs to be set up. No trolley overhead. We make the pick with the legs. We have been using about 60' at a 500T capacity. We're just tripping and installing boilers at about 100T. We had cut the load loose late morning and we're working on moving it inside the structure. The operator had forgotten that we'd unhooked the hydraulics to one of legs and was saving some time running the legs down after we had transferred the load by bungee strapping the levers down while moving on to the power plant running our lateral device. You know what happens when you shorten one leg on a gantry. Not everyone in the gang were even relayed the info that the gantry was retracting. The creaking of collapsing metal was really the first thought I'd had about the machine since we cut it loose late morning.

One of our two mobile gantry cranes collapsed today. There was some running and scrambling but no one was hurt. The operator was beside himself but we pulled him together enough to get things as unfecked as we could. All operator error. I have eleven more years of this shnit. This is far from the worst crane wreck I've ever seen but that doesn't mean you get used to it. Some people call it ptsd. I call it tmss(too much stupid ). I kiss my wife every morning before I head out because every single day is likely to be my last. The ultimate worst part of this is the fact that I'm likely to have an ill timed random outburst within the next 6 months. One more disaster to add into the memory banks. Oh snap!

Kadri's head bobbled a little too much there. Embellishment.

Ray finally had a lucid thought. Stop chasing the puck and take your friggin man. Hit somebody. Is Risto the only guy with a set tonight?

This team needs an Ullmark.

Outshot 28-17 at the Devils. 2-1 win Amerks. Grant the beast scores again. 2 shots, 1 goal and 14 penalty minutes. 2 for unsportsmanlike, 10 misconduct abuse of official and 2 cross checking. He has been a spectacular Amerk.

The SMAW process uses CC vs FCAW and all the other wire processes which use CV. The CC provides constant amperage so a "stick" welder controls the arc length. The CV processes provide a constant voltage because the wire welder has little control over arc length. A SMAW machine converts the AC current to DC which runs on reverse polarity. That means the electrode is negative. The current flows through the rod into the work piece(as opposed to CV processes). The work piece pulls the current. It's hotter thus the deeper penetration. The Inverted Gate Bipolar Transistor machines do all the work of inverting with the added bonus of being a fast switch semi conductor. It basically stores and stacks the half of the sign wave that DC uses and delivers it with the help of a microprocessor. Much smoother with a much easier start up with the capability to power a few other weld processes. Just got the proper circuits installed to power this machine. It welds just like it should. Very nice. He trebuchet will have to wait until late summer. My first project is a coal fired forge. I already have 90% of what I need. I'm so F'n ready!

Brady Austin with another great game. Scored a shorthanded empty netter. Yes Utica really did that. He's developing a skill that I really like in a D man. He does a fantastic job of clearing out the crease. His skating gets better every game and I've really noticed his stretch pass is becoming very good. I personally think the organization is doing a good job developing players. I get all Debbie downer from time to time but this season this team is getting stronger regardless of missing the playoffs. That's a good sign to me.

Outshot 53-22 by the Comets yet the Amerks win 5-2. Linus with 51 friggin saves! That blows my mind.

Funny thing is that I was actually called out as a pud in the politics thread 6 months ago. I assume the poster is around our age. I had forgotten what a pud was and after a google search I remembered it all. I'm not the type to judge so that poster is as likely to be right as he is to be wrong.
