    I've been hearing this from from some non hockey people. I know the city has been thwarting the Pegulas' efforts to upgrade the facility, but is this real? Is Lovely and the city council so clueless that they think the Razorsharks can carry that place? I know for a fact that the Amerks are the only faithful rent payers. I also know for a fact that the RBTL were denied lot 5 by the city for a new theatre. Lets revitalize the city by chasing away progress. That's wise.

    I'm doing our corned beef n cabbage a little early. I'm doing it like my grandma did, a corned eye round with just cabbage, potato and carrots. Mrs. iT is making chocolate marshmallow cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting. Smells pretty good in here.

    It's weird that Ullmark is a scratch. Did I miss a call up or injury? I left before the end of the third because Mrs. iT was ill last night. The crunch are a bunch of dirtbags. Took a run at Linus and he started throwing punches. Austin scored the first goal. He's been getting better all the time. Dude is friggin huge. Skating is better and he's beginning to find his way into offensive plays. He and Linus are constantly doing stick bumps or fist bumps. He really takes of Linus. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't earn a call up if not this year then next.

    Last visit to my doctor to treat a ringworm rash, I finally learned what was causing all the hoopla over my damn liver. There was lots of blah blah fat in the liver doom to come talk. "You should quit alcohol" she said. I agreed to another round of blood tests. Just got a letter from her office. "You're labs overall are improved. We still have elevated levels of AST and ALT but they have lessened. Bilirubin has fallen into a normal range. The last liver function test we checked, GGT which is most closely related to your alcohol intake, is just barely above normal. Given that your ultrasound was not too concerning, I think the best course of action would be to simply keep on eye on these tests..." I'm celebrating these findings with a heavy dose of alcohol. Because I can.

    Anyone catch the game Wednesday at KBC? Karabacek with another goal, Fasching scored and it sounds like Ullmark stood on his head again.

    While I have my pen out I'll mention the danger part here. My first ever SS post was here. I'd lurked for several years but finally was compelled the day we had a crane collapse at the UofR. One of those moments where you walk through a haze of WTF for a few days. Last month we had an accident with a 40T bridge girder falling on a guy. He survived but is all messed up. He's not going to work again. Every pick is engineered. Everything we did was spot on. Drug tests. Vigorous training. Sometimes everything isn't enough. We make thousands upon thousands of flawless picks and then statistics take over. Worst part? All these people that do the dirty work of making the country great again are going to get the shaft.

    Many years of too much danger, too many hours, too few hours, too many deaths. I'm not shy. I'll admit that I have been heavily involved with LU politics for many years. I've been a GD hard working guy for the members. I have a deeply rooted belief that our organization is the best route for anyone looking for a good life. Suddenly things happen(this we shall not speak about) and suddenly the entirety of your life's work hangs on the whim of a particular person's executive decree. You spend years. You sacrifice body parts. Then you watch your brown friends panic at the decrees.(we welcome and fight for everyone equally)You see contractors tighten their grip on your nuts. You eventually make the realization that your pension (which is nearly 100% funded) faces the threat from the thing that happened that we won't all talk about. You realize that everything that you've fought tooth and nail for for an entire lifetime is for nothing. It breaks you. Even if for one moment.

    He's been unspectacular in Rochester this year but I never thought he would be out of place with the Sabres. He's one of those guys that rises a notch when he gets a taste of something better. Amerks have been a mess and I'm glad he's had a shot and is performing well. He was inches from getting that long pass from Eichel the other night. I'd like to see the two reunited a few more times.
