  1. Rams players have allegedly been given a heads up that the LA situation should be decided tonight. Momentum in favor of Rams and Chargers.
  2. This is true but it says absolutely nothing. There is no "THE" problem. There are a ton of "a problem," though. Guns are A problem, and there are problems with guns/the way we handle them. This is true regardless of where we stand on the issue. The current situation with guns in this country isn't what it should be.
  3. There are zero rivalries in the AFC East. It's just a bunch of angry Bills/Jets fans and happy Pats fans. The only rivalry sacrificed is Pittsburgh Baltimore but it was only a blip a few years ago. The rivalries created would be greater.
  4. Yeap. I'm sure the official explanation was travel costs but this is the truth.
  5. I do think that division should be where the Bills are at. Put Baltimore in Buffalo's place.
  6. In the NFL there have been 49 Super Bowls. 28 (57%) have been won by six teams. In the NHL there have been 45 Stanley Cups since 1970. 27 (60%) have been won by six teams. In the NBA there have been 66 NBA champions. 44 (66%) have been won by four teams. In the MLB there have been 111 MLB champions. 63 (57%) have been won by five teams. I did since 1970 for the NHL because otherwise it's just cheating with Montreal winning umpteen million. Didn't do the same with MLB because who gives a about them. I will admit the NBA is tough to throw in with the rest because it's an individual sport. Last year was the first time since 1998 that the NBA Finals didn't include Dwyane Wade, Tim Duncan or Kobe Bryant. If you expand that to include LeBron and Michael Jordan then it hasn't happened since 1995.
  7. Yea, probably. I didn't want to expand it too far for sake of keeping the point simple. I just wish parity was an actual priority in these leagues.
  8. The point of wearing white at home is so you get to see the other team's colors in your home arena more often. The opposite of bland. What we've got right now is bland.
  9. Those are crisp. I don't really like the idea of a team named the Kings not wearing purple anywhere on their uniform.
  10. Nope. Still true for American sports all over...
  11. Matthews has been the known number one for over a year now so it's not that crazy. But I wasn't dreaming of drafting in the top five again, though. Now I'm getting close.
  12. Friedman's 30 thoughts indicates Matthews is still the unquestioned number one among execs and one exec compared Laine to Corey Perry while comparing Puljujarvi to Bobby Ryan... I feel like that exec is probably a current or former member of the Ducks organization.
  13. I still think the NHL should host color nights where every game in the league features two teams wearing their dark uniforms... It might be tough to pull off given that there might not be enough to mix and match, but if they could at least get a handful of games in it'd be cool.
  14. The team did, but yawn... Sports are just a repetitive cycle of the same handful of teams winning over and over. There is no Cinderella. I'm 23 and already bored of it.
  15. Racism has no bounds around here... I actually hate home coloreds and love the whites.
  16. Alex Marvez: Source confirms to @NFLonFOX that @buffalobills DC Dennis Thurman expected to work more with DBs now while Rex/Rob Ryan run the defense.
  17. I'm so happy for Bana. They've all waited so long and earned this chance to hoard another trophy... Sigh...
  18. No. He doesn't fill any roles they don't already have and would be doing him a disservice.
  19. The #canucks will place Chris Higgins on waivers tomorrow, Trevor Linden tells @sportsnetmurph. Says there wasn't much trade interest.
  20. Radio people treat callers like crap. It's why I, generally, don't listen to ANY sports radio that takes calls. The people calling are often people more interested in being on the radio than actually engaging in a meaningful conversation about the topic. And they're often people who likely haven't thought about how often other callers are put down for the sake of "entertainment." It's an old gag and it makes me gag. Also, you'll likely never get sports radio that isn't directly employed or directly impacted by employment of the two Pegula teams. The city isn't big enough for more than one or two quality stations. If the Pegula radio happens then WGR will be full of people no longer employed by the team, so their opinions may be impacted by any bitterness left there.
  21. Without a doubt. I'm confident his latest music video released four days ago was a goodbye... Also, this one really hit me hard. Combination of an incredible book (Le Petit Prince) and an incredible human...
  22. There was nothing overhyped about RGIII. He was everything Washington (and the NFL) dreamed of his rookie season. I have no reason to believe he wouldn't be a superstar right now if it weren't for the worst mismanagement of a franchise-changing asset in the history of professional sports.Whether he can ever get back to that we don't know. I have a feeling it's unlikely, but it's absolutely worth discussing. Sounds like Antonio Brown will not play against Denver. Big Ben likely will. Vontaze Burfict was suspended for the first three games of next season for the hit on Brown.
  23. I agree that he probably shouldn't but Houston may be desperate. Dallas is another common spot mentioned.
  24. I don't want him suspended for the hit... I just want him suspended.
  25. I hope he does land in a spot that fully supports him and gives him a shot. Houston makes a lot of sense. If Peyton Manning wants to play another year the Texans are a team I could see taking a shot.
