  1. I would make a trade for Taves this season. He probably does not fit the plan, but we are getting to the point where KA will start to think about adding important missing pieces. He needs to find a Dman or two as well, but I think that would more likely come in the summer, unless the Sabres are pushing real hard for a very realistic playoff this season. I admire your spunk and logic even if you are only half serious on this proposal, but I would not trade for Kane. I would consider signing him in the summer.
  2. Maybe the Sabres sign them both??
  3. Sad news ... https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/obit-specials-singer-hall-1.6691936?cmp=rss The Specials were a lot of fun, but at the end of the day they were all about social commentary. RIP Terry.
  4. I love Istanbul. You can eat a wonderful meal and then smoke the hookah without leaving your seat. Then go pray in the awesomely beautiful Blue Mosque.
  5. I voted to keep all 3 up with the Sabres. This assumes that there are no other injuries or UPL falls off a cliff. Anderson would be the 'bench coach' like in baseball. Literally (is there any rule about how many coaches can be behind the bench during a game?). He would rarely play.
  6. A 28 page GDT in late December. Ladies and gentlemen ... the Sabres are good again !! Fantastic win. I expected this kind of 3rd period with Vegas down 3 - 0. UPL was lights out, but the whole team gutted it out. This was a very big win. They all did what they had to do to closeout a close game against a very good team. This was the biggest win in probably 10 years.
  7. If I am KA I would talk to him about signing as a UFA, but I am not going to trade anything for him. He may be a lot different at 35 than at 20. I surely was and most are. Signing Patrick Kane is a lot different than when they tried it with Taylor Hall.
  8. No !! A thousand time no ... I guess that's another no from Inky.
  9. Same advice to you, but it's more likely that you will behave yourself with family around to watch you. @Spoonman strikes me as a stand up kind of guy. You on the other hand ... I hold out little hope for good behaviour. (insert winkie - winkie thingie here)
  10. What's up with you today, my friend ?? Just not in the happy zone ?? I hope that all is well.
  11. I will give you the same advice that I give to all SabreSpacers going to away games ... Make us proud !! And if you can't do that we have never seen yous before.
  12. WTF does he need to do to be #1 ??
  13. Not our Zemgus ... (insert winkie - winkie thingie here)
  14. I think that is why they usually don't get hammered. Mostly gently stopped by security.
  15. Me too. Game time in 11:00 PM here. I may catch the first period.
  16. Well @Refuting and that other guy are master baiters, eh.
  17. No need to wonder, my friend. Just make it appear. We must extract revenge even if Johnny Boy is not playing.
  18. What in the blazes is going on in here ... MUST WIN !! GO SABRES !! AVENGE THAT SNOT NOSED BRAT !! +++++ This game is also on SN Now+ in Canada and on *pirate satellite ... orbiting your living room* ...
  19. That was a fantastic final. One of the best, if not the best, ever. FIFA's dream final. I am happy for Messi and now he and CR7 can pass on the best player title to Mbappe. FIFA and football is steep in tradition in many ways. They have embraced VAR (I am not a fan of it) and EURO and WC format changes recently. I do not see them going to a sudden death playoff format and away from penalties as the final deciding factors any time soon. A majority of the fans like the Extra Time and then penalties format. Penalties may not be fair or just in ending a WC final like yesterday's, but it is what has been and the fans love the drama. I remember in '94 when Roberto Baggio (best player on the planet at the time) would have won the WC for Italy with his final penalty, but put it well over the bar. Stuff happens and that is part of the excitement. I was a fan of Man C for a time, but decided to not follow since they are putting the best side money can buy out there. @Eleven has been following Norwich FC for some time and for the last few years I have followed them pretty closely. They are promoted and then demoted to the EPL on a failry regular schedule. They are a side that is too good for ECL, but not quite good enough to stick in the EPL. Messi is certainly the best of this era only because he has his WC (finally, which shows how hard it is to win) and CR7 does not and most likely will not. There have been many great footballers over the years. It's hard to pick a top 5, but I think I would have Messi at #3 ... behind Pele and Maradona. Then Messi and Christiano at #4. Not sure who I would have at #5.
  20. The Football / Soccer Club is not an abyss ... (Winkie - Winkie)
  21. By all accounts this was a fantastic WC. Still have a sour taste due to the host and stuff. Bad stuff. Very happy for Messi. This should end the Messi vs CR7 debate once and for all.
