I agree. He is perfect for the role he plays. Not sure what he is paid now, but it's not enough. I'd sign him for 3 or 5 years at a fair for both AAV. No idea what the would be.

Feels like -27 here ... that is nearly zero for folks south of the border. Exceedingly cold for NS. Big snow tonight and day and nght tomorrow and into Tuesday morning. About 35cm (about 15") along the coast and up to 50cm inland. That is a lot of snow for NS. We have our septic tank pump (worst job imaginable) scheduled for tomorrow morning, so I have to be ready just in case the dopes actually show up.

Great team effort. They still make some mistakes out there, but the goaltending has been there to bail them out most of the time. When they needed him the most Lyon was a brick wall yesterday afternoon.

The Sabres are playing well as a team. The recent losses, except Columbus, (the others were to the defending Cup Champions - 2 years running, and a Carolina team that is more skilled ... both were 1 goal losses) were all good efforts overall. Still some lapses and that will hurt a team that is playing well together, but is not actually all that good skill wise. Ruff, as he did in his first go round with the Sabres, is making the most of his players - actually a better job since last time he had Hasek and then Miller.

I respectfully disagree with you and anyone else that has posted disagreement with my assessment of the last 7, or so, Bills playoff losses. I still not one of them was because the coach was outcoached. Maybe on some plays here and there in any game, but none of the losses can be directly attributed to McDermott being outcoached for the whole game. In very close playoff games one coach or the other is never being outcoached. It comes down to top players making top player plays. No one will convince me that it was not the 5 turnovers (4 by Josh) that lead to the defeat. They were that close to winning and the refs who were terrible all day really made a bad call on a very critical play in OT, but I am not blaming them for the loss. All the playoff losses can be attributed to a laps by Josh Allen somewhere along the way - usually at the very end of the game. He is the best player in the NFL, but he always has these mental lapses that lead to playoff defeat. I hope that a different coach will ease that out of him. Anyway, carry on ...

I understand why they fired the coach, but he was not the reason they lost on Saturday. There have been very few, if any, playoff games where he was outcoached. Josh Allen is the best overall player in the NFL. Every playoff there is a game that he is not his best and they lose. It happens. This was probably the best chance with none of the stud QBs in the AFC in the playoff. That got into his head and we saw what happened Saturday.
