Yes. The Sabres were like “be our guy for 3 years on a horrid team until one of these other guys can replace you” and Linus was like “a playoff team wants me for 5 years byeeee.”

I had visions of a Byfield or Zegras or Rossi dancing in my head, but I think think that time has passed.

I think that would make sense in what KA would offer, based on where he probably feels UPL, Levi, and Portillo are in the system.

This would imply that the Sabres offered 3 or 4 years at $4mill, but the Bruins offered 5 years. I’m not buying it. He had an offer from a perennial playoff team and took it.

If only they had a lucky charm on their roster that seems to somehow always get every team hes on the lottery pick. It would also help if they had a starting G that seems to get injured a lot.

I’m sure Jack would be a joy at the team dinners, and whatever other activities the players do together outside of the team off of the ice.

They could trade him, it’s just the offers are garbage. Other GMs have realized that KA is over his head, and under pressure, and also under rules from the owner. So, they aren’t offering what the Sabres want. They are waiting for KA to blink, or the owner to demand KA get it done like he did with ROR.

Alright then just keep him, and we can see what his attitude and leadership does to all of the players looking up to him on the team. 🤷‍♂️

I think they’ll be more loose and entertaining this coming season, but I’m sick of the losing. I don’t need to watch the team set the all-time losing record. The Risto trade was okay. The Reino trade should’ve been better. Now I’m scared of what the Eichel trade will be, after watching most of the target trade partners make moves today. The Sabres might end up taking the Rangers trash, after all. The team was in a great position to acquire a ton of assets for those 3. Now they lost Ullmark when they could’ve at least moved him for something earlier. Come on.

If he did, it would be at the cost of spelling the name FRANKLIN wrong on the back. We would have another OKOPOSO or ROBITALLE or ANDREYCHUCK on our hands.
