This was definitely a thing 16 years ago when I was doing corporate sales fot AT&T. People who were horrible at sales, would get “promoted” to team leader/supervisory roles, but would be making half of what the top sales agents were making. And thusly, the sales staff had zero respect for the “promoted” person. Those people never lasted much longer, usually.

If anyone is interested in working on a trade, I have a handful of WR I would part ways with in exchange for a TE and/or RB.

The team sucks because there is no identity of who they want to be and how they want to play. I don’t remember which coach it was, maybe Granato, made them an offensive team that sucked on defense. That team was fun to watch. Then I suppose the plan for year 2 was to make them more defensive? Which didn’t work or happen, and the team hasn’t seemed to have any plan or identity since that season.
