My oldest dog escaped his harness once and got hit. The driver never even slowed down. Pup got clipped and cartwheeled along the ground. He then took off running and I had to chase him down about 2 miles. He lost the pads on his feet (so did I, for chasing him barefoot) but he had no other damage. Took about 2 weeks for his pads to heal. Lots of cleaning every day and a very lousy experience and about a $400 vet bill. But I learned never to walk the dogs in flip flops again. And I bought them different harnesses. It sucks so bad when they're hurt.

That was a pretty little goal.

Just because it looks easy, doesn't make it easy. Usain Bolt's heart rate probably hits 190 in the 9 seconds that it takes him to run the 100. It's probably back down in the 60s after about 2 or 3 minutes. He never looks like he's working hard.

I'm gonna make it out to Colorado to ski one day. Gotta see what all you pampered powder babies have been raving about for the last century.

I've never actually made it to work. I've bolted out of bed at 2am like a psycho, knowing that I had to be in the car 5 minutes ago, only to realize that as I was brushing my teeth that I'm actually off today. Once had an employee call in to say they were going to be late for their 6pm shift at 6am. (The drinking sometimes gets out of hand)

I've seen both bands from the pit more than once. You'll be fine. Last time I saw Shinedown was at Northern Lights in Albany and Hailstorm opened for them. Had to be around 2009. I've seen Godsmack 3 times, the last of then being in 2010 with Drowning Pool and Five Finger Death Punch opening for them. My skinny little wife managed just fine in the pit for both shows. I imagine it hasn't gotten any wilder since then.

It was absolutely puking snow on the mountain in Scranton this morning from 9 til 11. Got almost 5 inches in 2 hours. I looked like a yeti every time I stepped off the chairlift.

Cash is King. Tip in cash whenever possible. No claiming it for taxes. The IRS can stuff it.

Tipping almost ensures better service. Starting a tab at the bar? Pay for the first round in cash and tip the bartender immediately. Your glass won't sit empty for long. Going out gambling? Throw the dice crew a toke bet right beside your first bet. They'll make sure you never forget your odds. Go out of your way for people and they'll go out of their way for you. Tip your driver and you'll get a better passenger rating. Better rating for you, better odds of being picked up faster. I don't like waiting for service, so I tip.

Anyone have any experience with GoPro filming? I'm toying with the idea of recording some of my skiing adventures. Perhaps even some hockey too. I found what appears to be an incredibly cheap deal on eBay for a hero 3 white and was wondering if it would be at all worth it.

I came home from the bar once when I was about 19. I was trashed. There was leftover eggplant parm in the fridge from my parents night out at a restaurant. I shamelessly devoured it. It was delicious. I have never eaten it since. Eggplant is freaking gross.

If I make the mistake of going to a full service pump, I always tip. Unless I'm in Jersey.
