I've really liked the energy I've seen from Krebs this year. Hopefully he brings the jam to that line and it clicks.

Maybe VO is going to pull a Brett Burns and switch from wing to D and become really good at D and then grow a MASSIVE beard.

I'm okay as I can be with a slow start. We've seen where blazing fast starts have gotten us the past few years. If we can get a handful of wins in October and then instead of falling apart in November, we actually start to continue to tack on wins I'll be a lot happier. I also recall last season our top line took a few games to "get going". I'm not panicking yet but it'd be nice to see these guys look like they're trying for most of the game.

If I can only get MSG+ on a tablet or phone and not my TV why on earth would I just not pirate the stream easily on my tablet or phone? I actually tried to sign up for MSG+ because I'm willing to pay $30 to watch the game on my damn TV! Guess I'll keep sailing the high seas until they make it consumer friendly.

Anyone else here think it's total BS that the season starts today but we still have to suffer through 2 more days with no Sabres hockey? I, for one, am outraged.

I don't recall his defensive play ever being very good, it seems the book on him has always been that he's a one dimensional player (PP specialist) and you always heard about him needing to improve his game away from the puck. Once Tage developed into the PP one-timer threat, Oloffson's primary contribution was put to the wayside. I've always wanted to see an extended look with him and Tage on the boards in the PP - if the PK wants to take away Tage then VO should be open for business but the few times I remember seeing them out there together it never seemed to work.

That was my first thought but then I don't want to see Mittlestad saddled with VO again. Quinn can't get back soon enough.

I really hope Olofsson doesn't make that 2nd line a liability. Liking Benson on the 3rd line, that should be fun to watch. Is it Thursday yet?
