Did we ever stop to wonder if Ralph Kruger was right?

This will be my first game of the year, and of course Thompson is injured. At least I'll get to see the scoreboard, hopefully the Sabres can make it go from 0 to 1 and then some more.

I don't think they had two 3 wins in a row streaks last year. We're in November and we already have two.

Here's a random stat: Over the course of the next 9 games the Sabres have 8 unique start times: 1pm, 12:30pm, 7:30, 7:00, 10:30, 10:00, 8:00, 7:00, 3:00 . I am not a fan, if I can't establish a watching rhythm as a fan, how can I expect these guys to compete?

The problem plaguing this team has been their inability to carry over a strong showing against a top tier team into the next game against common basement dwellers. This is where I suspect coaching comes into play, making sure the team is ready regardless of the opponent. Fingers crossed that Ruff can fix this.

I can't think of another FA signing by KA that was actually...productive? Eric Johnson? Connor Clifton? Lybushkin? Comrie?

It's It's right call to remove it but I like seeing Roy rip into the refs. Wish we'd see that from a sabres coach in the last decade.

If they call a major it's reviewable, right? If so that makes sense.

Wasn't Krebs heralded as a set-up man? Wonder if he can create some space to feed Quinn. At the very least, it's refreshing to see Ruff blitz up the lines a bit opposed to Granato stubbornly kept running the same lines over and over when things werent working.

I am getting real tired of these extended 3, 4 day breaks between Sabres game.

Still too early. I need to see a few more 3+ win streaks between now and the new year.

I'd send Quinn to Rochester for a few games, make him ride the bus a bit. Kulich has looked so much better than Quinn at this point in the season.

This what happens when you abandon the MUST WIN mentality.

I really want to see 3 wins in a row. Last season that only happened once, and not until March. Getting 3 in a row in October will help our playoff chances.

Now's a good time for Benson to be resting. Were in the midst 12 day stretch (10-20 thru 10-31) with only 3 games. I don't mind him sitting the next 2 games if it means he's healthy.

Gotta add face offs to the ugly..couldn't win one to save our lives in the third.

Is Cozens the most snake bitten player in the world or does he just suck? That missed empty net near the end was absolutely brutal.
