Another 5 years and we can finally collapse in the playoffs!

One of these days the new gm is will take one look at this team and say, "I'm going to cut you into little pieces"

This result felt inevitable.

I've been debating in my head all about the outcome of this game, do they put it together and beat one of the few teams as bad as they are? But they usually lose these types of games, but they've also lost 6 in a row and something has to give. Ultimately I hope they lose every game going forward, I don't give a ***** about draft position but they need to lose and lose and lose again until Adams is fired.

"I need you guys to win tonight so I don't look like a complete ass tomorrow."

If the team hasn't sucked for the past 15 years nobody would care.

Agreed to the bolded! We didn't even make it back to our seats for the 3rd, we just half-watched the collapse from the lobby, and none of us even cared that much, that's how far gone we are as fans. Hopefully last night becomes some sort of rock-bottom moment where something clicks within the team and they turn things around. I am not hopeful that will actually happen since this is the 10th "rock-bottom" moment they've had in the last decade and they somehow manage to continue digging deeper. Hopefully Pegula fires Adams and that starts a change.

I will! The buffet sounds dangerous but I probably won't be walking into the arena until at least seven so that's...off my plate for tonight. We can grab an intermission beer though!

I feel like they usually win these games where they've dropped multiple games in a row, and another loss would really make the wheels fall off. Often they're against top tier teams. It's "big" games they usually lose are when a win would vault them up in the standings, typically against a lesser team that they "should" win.

I'm sitting club level as well. I'll be the guy wearing the Sabres jersey.

Ruff starting UPL vs the frikkin Sharks on a back-to-back would be an indictment against Adam's. Are you telling me the backup you went out and got has that little faith from the coach?

It wasn't clear in the initial post, is Jeff Skinner slotting into the line-up tonight? Gotta imagine Reimer will be getting his first start. Quinn was showing signs of life yesterday, I think tonight might be his first goal against a goalie. Hopefully Tage is also back, if that's the case I'm guessing you keep Kulich and sit Lafferty?

I'm slowly coming around on this team. I'm shocked they pulled out a win after being down 0-2. It's reverse granato hockey. Another big test tonight, beating up on a basement team without UPL to bail them out.

Storyline: The previous game the Sabres beat LA, one of the better teams in the league, to pull up to .500. Tonight they face an opponent who is not as intimidating with a chance to get above .500. I feel like every time they've been in this position the past 2 years they always come up flat. Will that trend continue, or is Ruff's message starting to take hold?

Screw the islanders and the OT loss points, didn't they ride those OT losses into the playoffs last year. It's also nice to see we have a game in hand on a few of the teams directly behind us, feels like it's been the opposite in the past year or so.

Watched the first two periods but then passed out. Was pleased to wake up to seeing UPL with a shutout, hopefully the confidence is building for him. The Thanksgiving break acts as a watermark for playoff teams, if you're in a spot then there's a good chance you'll be in a spot at the end of the season. There are 3 games left before the break: Back to back with the Ducks and Sharks and then the Wild after another 3 day break. 2/3 wins should at least keep the hope alive.

I just hope I'll wake up tomorrow.
