I hope Detroit embarrasses us on home ice tomorrow. We have 29 games remaining and need 23 points to match our 76 from last year. Do we think we hit that? With the team being dead in the water, combined with all the pending UFAs, I think games will be mailed in. Not expecting the kind of collapse we saw last year, but also not expecting them to rail off any winning streaks.

If Hutton makes the roster next season we're going to have a problem. Something tells me he's not going to be improving.

MoJo, maybe? This off-season was so frustrating because the forward lines were basically untouched, and look, we're getting the same results of not having any secondary scoring. We added vesey and mojo and lost Pomminstein / sent Tage to the minors.

In a league where 50% of the teams make the playoffs each years, you really have to appreciate just how horrible a franchise has to be to not make those odds for 9 years running.

We said the same thing when Housley came in to replace Bylsma, and when Bylmsa came in to replace Nolan and when Nolan came into to replace....Ron Rolston? I can't even remember any longer.

I hope they prove us wrong but this is the same story around this point in the season we've seen the past however many years, "this is the point in the season where they need to come out strong to make a push" only to drop like 3 games in a row to beatable teams and really put a cap on the season before the real playoff push happens for many teams. I really hope I'm wrong, because there's nothing i want more than to watch this team play meaningful games late into the season, however, my optimism meter is in the trash.

I expect another quiet deadline on JBOTs part, mostly because the people we want to see moved off this roster have no value. Wouldn't be surprised if Bogo is acquired by someone looking to shore up depth but I think we'd have to eat salary somehow and would only get picks in return.
