I'm at the point. Root for what? Scoring a 5-5 goal? What's the record for consecutive shutouts? Let's root for the team to at least set some sort of record. Of course I want them to win, I'd like to be entertained but until the team gives us a reason to pull for them I can't blindly do so anymore.

At this point I'm rooting for more shutouts until Ralph gets fired. I just looked at the standings and the Sabres are in LAST place in the entire league (sure some other bottom feeders have a few games in hand, but in my mind the season is done, has been for some time). It is absurd at how poorly this team has underperformed this season.

How many days until Ralph comes out and says at least one of these players has been added to LTIR Also, re: Ralph saying Jack wasn't injured a few days ago, he was obviously talking about being emotionally injured, not physically. This new warm-up one was a physical injury. That is the only explanation for Ralph speaking sideways out of his mouth.

I wouldn't call myself completely baffled by this move, in my mind GMKA knows he has 1 more year of Hutton and was probably leaning on the infusion of Hall bringing more offense to make up for Hutton's play? Why trade Hutton when you'd need to add an asset to get rid of him? There's no market for him. KAs only option would have been to waive him and bring someone else in, which would have at least sent a message? I don't know. I think he's probably handcuffed by ownership because they don't want to pay more people to not work.

It's baffling that with Eichel out you still opt to sit Skinner. I'm fine with not signing Larsson, he's been here for too long. I also hated giving Girgensons 2 years. I like both of the players but they've been part of this failing organization for too long.

Why isn't Okposo, someone with 1 point this year getting similar treatment? Despite being stapled to the 4th line Skinner was still generating chances, and hitting posts. Okposo dumps the puck in and changes. I understand sitting Skinner for a game to get him going, but going into 3 games and not even practicing with the team? Something else has to be going on behind the scenes.

He was on the ice...with the taxi squad. At this rate he'll be in the AHL by the weekend, EHL by April and on my beer league team by May.

I hope the bolded is the case. I like Olofsson but he doesn't belong on the #1 line with Jack 5v5. He's a damned fine power play specialist but his even strength play is lacking, which is fine. Let Skinner play with Jack 5v5 and put Oloffson somewhere in the bottom 6. I'm guessing there's something else going on with Skinner, he's always come off a bit petulant to me so maybe Ralph doesn't like his attitude? Who knows.

What is a reasonable return for Montour? Looks like we traded the first we got from San Jose in the Kane trade + Guhle (he played 30 games with the Ducks last year and is in the AHL this year). I can't see us getting a similar return for what we paid.

The quoted tweet saying Skinner was out was dated 2-22 , I don't think we have a confirmation of tonight's line-up yet.

I can't imagine a scenario right now where Adams could have a trade drawn up and Skinner would deny it. "You're saying there's a team with a coach who wants me and will use me properly, the team isn't a bottom feeder and I get paid the same? Sounds tempting but I like what's brewing here. DENIED."

Skinner is at least generating chances, he's hit some posts and is getting looks and I'm shocked he hasn't gotten a fluky bounce to go in yet. If memory serves me correctly, which it usually doesn't, Leino was pure garbage and wasn't generating opportunities, and was given a chance to succeed by the coaches (?) , besides them saying, "hey, you're a winger, i bet you'd be a great fit at...center..." Skinner needs to be better but so does his usage.
