Darien Lake’s lineups have been ***** for a few years too.

Lots of Canadians that used to go to those shows staying home. Artpark lineup wasn’t very good overall this year too. In years where Artpark’s lineup is pretty solid, I know I stay way more interested in their schedule. When they announced this season’s initial lineup in early Spring I yawned and stopped paying attention.

It was against the league’s interest for the team (and other teams) to tank like we did. They should have stepped in and saved the Sabres from themselves back then.

I was heavy into the hobby until about a decade ago. Enjoy. Its a black hole of time and empty calories LOL. I made a 15 gal brewery in my garage. Had 3 taps running in the house. And was buying barley in 50lb sacks. Toyed with business plans to open a brewery, but never had the courage to leave a very good job to do it. I brewed for about 15yrs, gained 40lbs, scalded the hair off my left leg permanently, and loved doing it. I started it because when I was 30 the local beer market was almost entirely macro lagers, and if I wanted something else I had to buy it. Today I have 3 breweries with 10 miles of me in a very rural area. Beer variety is everywhere, so I don’t have to make it anymore. And I’ve lost 25 of the 40lbs since I quit. Dive in feet first. Geek out on it. Learn the chemistry. Its a blast.

*breathes deep* Ahhhhh….. The silence. No air conditioners running. Low humidity. Cool temps. Sunshine, and no haze. Gorgeous morning without the oppressive humidity.

So, just below average? I know we’ve all learned to hate on the guy based at least on eye test. I wonder if deeper stats support just below average? I really hate that I fell hard for this guy based on his rookie season and he seems to have plateaued or even regressed since then.

What has this organization done previously to please the fans?

I think what he really wants is the #1PP defenseman minutes so he can get all those sweet, sweet stat padding points. Which turns into money, which is your primary point. That can happen here if the coaching staff decides to think for themselves and put 2D, 3F on our powerplay.
