I very specifically said I was not a proponent of a teardown. Any small number of players can be moved without calling it a teardown, although moving your best player starts to move the needle. Nonetheless, as unlikely it is to have a trade for Dahlin that improves the team, if it gets offered to me, Dahlin is as good as gone in my eyes. Obviously, moving on from Dahlin is a lot lower on the priority list than moving on from 22 other players on the team, but it is a non 0 number.

If it were me, it would all be on the table. Thats not suggesting that we need to burn it down. It is suggesting that, for the right deal, noone is safe. I don’t know that I particularly like how the team is set up, skillset-wise and personality-wise. This collection of players doesn’t strike me as having the right overall makeup to expect success. But I don’t know that I could expand further on that opinion if pressed to do so. It’s a feeling, nothing objective. Do I think there are some players that do have some of the personality and skillset I think matters? Yes, but just a few. If I count fingers on a hand , I’d have fingers left over. They would be way down on my list of priority in a retool of the roster, but noone is off limits on a team that struggles to reach 90pts season after season.

If I have to limit myself to only the outcomes a severely flawed GM would obtain, I’ll just go back to my usual snark and half witted humor.

I’m tired of losing. I don’t give a ***** about developing players for other teams. I would trade literally anyone on the roster or in the system to make the team better. And that would not be a good trade to make.

If we are going to move Power, I want a 1 for 1 blockbuster, not a D and an F. I don’t want two lesser parts for one greater part. If we are doing this, we need to upgrade the too 6 with one equal value player.

So, what does the D look like without Power? Dahlin - Kesselring Byram Timmins Sammy - who is the next RHD on the depth chart? I might be able to tolerate this. Would the game results be demonstrably different? Could we get a legit 2C for Power straight up? Who has a 2C to move?

Dodgers fan here. Since the Orel Hersheiser days, at least. This is the only team outside of Buffalo teams that I root for. I am sweating this one. I realize LA is the popular choice to be favorites, but man, this team doesn’t have the swagger it had in recent years. For all the payroll, they are a bit of a flawed roster. This is no gimme series. Ohtani might have to put the series on his back. Again.

I think I saw somewhere that Giroux was chirping at Power something along the lines of “you’re a wet dog in a tall body” or something like that. Even our big guys get chirped.

That is the sense I get as well. Cynical as always for me. Ive said in the past that waiting until a player is in their pending FA year and trading them at the deadline is negligence. It minimizes the return. If KA feels the same way, this should be the last games we see Tuch in a Sabres sweater. Fookin shame, really.

As PASabresFan would say, rooting for the jersey is the way. The players, coaches, GMs, trainers, etc come and go. The jersey is always there. Until it isn’t.

Rooting for your team to lose is embarrassing. Just don’t. And limiting the poll options to just those two reasons sucks. If those are going to be the reasons, just shorten the options to, just win, or lose.
