  1. Like I said, everyone develops their own mental image of what they are reading. For all I know, my take is a minority opinion. But the n my head he wasn’t hulking, but he was intimidating. He was also portrayed as athletic, and fast. More tight end than old school middle linebacker. Gronk was more like what I pictured, not Brian Bosworth.
  2. Obviously everyone has a unique mental image when they read a book. In my head the Reacher character wasn’t a Conan the Barbarian build. Ritchson, to me, is too bulky for the role. And Cruise was just plain wrong for it.
  3. Neither was the strategy that led to drafting 1st overall 3 times in under a decade.
  4. Yesterday’s game was the first I’ve watched in quite awhile. By my eye, Bernard-Docker looked pretty good.
  5. After that call was made, I told my son you never see a Sabre doing that because we haven’t had veterans to show these kids to do it.
  6. Ummm, Carbone’s is Buffalo style pizza. They’re from Buffalo.
  7. Rochester’s best pizza is a Buffalo transplant, Carbone’s. Fight me.
  8. Yeah, def the show. Lol Like pizza, there is no such thing as a bad manhattan, just some better than others.
  9. Ooooohhh. Send me deets. And great news for you.
  10. I’ve been hoping to post this all day. My FIL was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. He has some pretty serious other health complications. Surgery was scheduled for today. There was risk due to his age and health. He’s out of surgery and recovering as expected. Dr expects a good overall prognosis. Finally, some good news regarding folks close to us. *breathe*
  11. From Joe Yerdon: Tage Thompson told Mike Harrington after the game he didn’t know there was a delayed penalty call otherwise he would’ve handed over the puck.
  12. But he parks in front of the net so he deserves the opportunity. /s
  13. Great show! The band was super tight. And noone sat. Everyone was up and moving. The set the chose was great. Lots of heavy in the music selections. They played 3 songs from their new album. Very heavy and dark. Loved it. Got home quite late. My calves ache, lol. Its gonna be a nap day.
  14. The Florida Panthers roster.
  15. Yeah, I am kind of expecting a sit down show. My assumption is this is the kind of show you just listen to the band.
  16. Dream Theater tonight in Rochester. Going to be a long show. No opener. 3 hrs with an intermission. \m/
  17. Now there is a blast from the past. Wow. Gone soon.
  18. Off the list. Berglund. Flat out quit without so much as an attempt to try.
  19. I think you have to use the gauge of team performance to determine if remote teams are working. That is not to suggest that the Sabres lack of success is a result of a remote team, rather the teams lack of success strongly suggests to me that they need every advantage to overcome this, and there is no inherent advantage to a remote team supporting a local operation. This team needs the on hand collaboration a helluva lot more than a team that is succeeding. My $0.02 anyway.
  20. I thought it was addition by subtraction. That makes Norris’ availability gravy, right? smh
  21. Who is questionable that Kozak is up? Nevermind I see Norris and Peterka out. hopefully Norris didn’t hurt himself in that line skirmish
  22. For an organization that has been at or near the top of the prospect pool rankings for most of a decade, if not longer, we sure have alot of whiffs and not alot of top NHL talent to show for it.
  23. That was a damning interview for sure. In a normal organization I just don’t see how he’d survive the offseason. But this isn’t a normal organization.
