  1. I think you are forgetting how pessimistic I was about Casey Mittlestadt . I always found him to be occasionally dynamic, and frequently disappointing. Given we had an emerging Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens, I am more than sure the allure of a prototypical 3rd line center would have been plenty of motivation for me to have optimism regarding a deal like that one. Edit- I would have likely expected the return be McLeod +. I am not sure what plus would have made me happy to move the better offensive player though.
  2. Back when we all thought Cozens was gonna be something? I’d have taken that trade all day, every day. Then again, I was never bullish on Mitts.
  3. Thx. Regarding “another fall”, 2 Summers ago I went down much harder at a slippery boat ramp and broke and displaced my tailbone. There is no surgical procedure with good outcomes for that. I live with that one every day.
  4. This is what whisky is made for. On day 1 of our vacation I took another fall on a boat ramp. No hospital visits or anything, but my foot, knee, and right hand are still messed up. Its not vacation over, but sure did throw a damp towel over it.
  5. Buy did we clear up the panini issue?
  6. It’s a brutal story and there is obvious trauma on Linus’ part. Look into it. Don’t be a dick.
  7. I agree. I realize there is a star a couple yrs out likely at the top of the draft, but Robertson is a star now, and even if you finish last overall, the odds of getting that star is, what, 25%? Robertson is pretty much what the rest of the first round will have as a target for performance. This team needs the fully prime elite talent, not a new timeline for KA to follow.
  8. It isn’t how I phrased it. It is how Linus phrased it. He said directly that after his dad died he needed to make some changes in his life, including the team he played for. You are disregarding his own words, essentially saying he lied about why he took the Boston offer over Buffalo’s match. To me its pretty simple. Ullmark has never given us a reason to doubt his honesty, and he said very candidly and directly that his decision to move on from Buffalo was related to the emotions he was feeling following the death of his father. This surely doesn’t seem like an instance where it is more complicated than what is on the surface.
  9. Yeah, I know. You continue to be afraid of high risk, high reward situations. You and Kyvyn.
  10. Every spot Ive seen Quinn in the lineup makes me shudder. Just ruins the line.
  11. i’ll counter with a yes and no. Yes, bridging him set up the opportunity, but his decision was an outcome of his father’s death. I can’t speculate on what led to his decision.
  12. McLeod’s 3rd period usage will look alot different than his usage in the 1st teo periods. He’ll end up in Kulich’s spot when the team is up and looking to keep a lead.
  13. That looks so much more palatable that what we have currently.
  14. Revisionist history. We didn’t let Ullmark walk. Ullmark decided he needed a change of scenery.
  15. Yeah, no. You need a Rubber Man toy to stretch generational that far.
  16. Man, last season I said I was more concerned with the forward group than the defense. They let me down. They played alot worse as a group than I expected. This season, show me, Im from Missouri.
  17. And Kesselring had PP time in Utah. He’s an option for the big shot off the dot on the 2nd unit.
  18. Long term starts with one. Figure it out. Get in. Make it next season a priority too. ***** happens.
  19. I’ll go so far as to call it incompetence if they don’t make a reasonable effort at using Dahlin and Byram together in the 1st unit. Our strength right now is in elite skill on defense. Feature it. That doesn’t mean we have to have both up top. One can certainly be stationed on the wall, and they both have the skillsets to make it work. And that would mean one more decent forward for the #2 unit as well. It would also mean Byram gets what he wants, and if the points come his value outside of the organization grows as well.
  20. No idea, and I am not inclined to expand upon one of an uncountable number of possibilities and run with that to some conclusion. It’s literally fiction.
  21. Where is this other teams just want to give us futures coming from?
  22. I think the only risk is if Byram chooses a 1yr term, all this uncertainty repeats again next year.
  23. You only get the stuff that JohnC is so interested in. You have to bring g lower taxes to the millionaires bracket to trade for the good stuff.
