Oof. 3rd person close to us in 1 calendar year that has cancer. Too much. Our emotions are about spent.

I might have to plan for this. Seems like a decent Summer concert season setting up for metal heads.

I know I have stated it elsewhere, maybe it was in this very thread. I distinctly remember a rumor shortly after he was drafted that someone close to him (father or uncle maybe) was counseling him not to sign with Buffalo. He showed such promise that first NHL season, and it seems he became less reliable the more he played here. He’s not even standing up for teammates right now. It seems apparent to me that he doesn’t want to be a member of the Sabres, and it is affecting his efforts. He needs to go. And I fully expect he is going to become the player we thought he was those first two seasons. No doubt in my mind a motivated, happy Samuelsson is a force to be reckoned with on the ice. He will be miserable to play against. I just hope he’s tradable in the offseason and we don’t have to buy him out and get nothing.

I really think it depends on Kulich. If the kid is ready for 2C next season, Tage is a winger. If he’s not ready, Tage moves to center.

I mean, sure? I guess? This thing is a big enough mess that I don’t know how anyone can point to any one thing and say “this is the biggest problem right here”. Other than Pegula. We can all point at him and say “ this is the problem “ and be reasonable well assured it is accurate.

The play this season and last season is amazingly similar statistically . Tells me that the coach is not the major contributor. Has Lindy been good enough? No. Is he a bigger contributor to the team’s performance than the players on the ice? I don’t think so.

I don’t need our 1C or 2C to be that physical guy. I think it is better suited that the physical play comes from the wing and D. In that regard, getting smaller and less physical in order to upgrade scoring from venter doesn’t bother me at all. Having said that, grit needs to be on the menu this offseason.
