Given KAs total lack of comment regarding Portillo, I don’t buy this for a second regardless of Power’s comments. KA essentially treating Portillo as a non Sabres prospect speaks volumes regarding the situation.

I think targeting Levi in the trade was a sign that the team wasn’t sold on Portillo. That is definitely reason to be threatened. Nonetheless, it is an indication of Portillo’s lack of faith in his ability to come out on top of this. He’s going to be battling the next guy in line for however long his pro career lasts.

I’d be surprised if Russia lets their athletes continue to go to western leagues.

JJ makes the team out of training camp but is sent down about game 25 and doesn’t make it back up this season. Dahlin leads the team in scoring. TT leads the team in goals. The Sabres use 5 goalies this season and UPL is up with the big team when the season ends.

He’s left himself plenty of room to crawfish out of that if we end up where we were last season. FTR I expect he is working to land a starting goalie. I am not willing to put enough faith in it to place a $10 bet on whether he succeeds or not. His choice of words indicates to me that KA won’t be gambling on it either. And you don’t need to add words to his quote to come to that conclusion.

I haven’t traveled since covid so I haven’t used ride share services since covid. Going to Minneapolis at the end of August. We’ll see if the ride share experience is different.

See, I think a Risto needs a proper development curve more than a Mule. Risto’s weaknesses beg for a proper development. He would have benefited more from it than a Mule, because he doesn’t have the inherent instincts that Mule seems to have.
