  1. I don’t think any game is going to be easy with 4/6ths of our starting D out with injury. And especially so with our only star player being one of them.
  2. So, are you advocating the NHL let them all in, or kick them all out? This doesn’t have to be either and not be hypocritical. Any time is a good time for improvement, including this time.
  3. Would you hire him? Do you not believe in redemption? He hasn’t earned it. Time isn’t sufficient. Redemption requires him to show empathy and real guilt. To the best of my knowledge neither has occurred. I’m more than willing to show someone who has expressed remorse and demonstrated changed behavior another shot. But that other shot isn’t likely to be what they want. It’ll be what they have to settle for to prove they are worthy of what they want. This kid can prove his worthiness for redemption in a humbling environment before he’s earned redemption in my eyes.
  4. I’m telling ya, Josh ain’t right. That big hit last week hurt him.
  5. It’s ok to start doing the right thing. This is a good line to draw in the sand. Defending this dude is a weird hill to die on.
  6. Josh as noT been right since that hit last week
  7. This is a team that has bullied us while we wandered around in the darkness. Would be nice to get a measure of comeuppance. I think if there is a night for our first major penalty, this is the one.
  8. What he is accused of doing shows a pretty clear lack of any empathy. That isn’t normal bully stuff. That is sociopath stuff. I don’t think you grow out of it and become a better person.
  9. There was your measuring stick game. Sabres played tough, but that was a playoff team, and a playoff team game. Sabres don’t quite measure up yet. Expect more of these than not from here on out. Will be interesting to see if the Sabres are ready to evolve their game to counter it.
  10. Lovely. Yet another poster that has already done the thinking for the fan base. Just what we needed.
  11. I don’t know what to make of that clip, other than AM has a very punchable face. I do know that it only took once for a guy I stood up for to walk away before I decided I was never going to intervene on his behalf again. AM may have no choice soon but to answer for his antics.
  12. That dog is gonna have a serious herding/ protecting instinct. Be careful.
  13. Way, way too early for that. We’ve got a tougher stretch right in front of us, and we’ll need to sustain this as the intensity ramps up and teams start jockeying for playoff spots.
  14. It’s not you. Dark colored unis make players look bigger.
  15. I cannot imagine a dog with Border Collie smarts and Pyrenees size. If it had opposable thumbs humanity might be doomed.
  16. Pre season I would have predicted Power. But his game isn’t flashy enough right now to get ROY attention. JJP seems to have the early lead. Will be interesting to see if he stays in the top 6 consistently and maintain that lead.
  17. I think its because of where he was drafted. People expect those picks to be top 6 players, even though the ones that make it typically are all over the roster. Seeing where he was drafted it is easy to project that we got a top 6 forward and top 6 prospect out of that deal.
  18. I’ve noticed Power’s mistakes alot less than I noticed Ras’s. I tend to agree. At this point Power is playing more within himself. Im guessing Power is maybe a bit more Risk averse than Dahlin was as a rookie.
  19. Wasn’t the Michigan-Michigan St thing a bunch of guys cornering and beating an opposing player with their helmets or something? Many on one with weapons sounds pretty gang assault-y to me. Or did I hear that incident incorrectly? Shades of Andy Ristau. That was a gang assault in my book.
  20. This is not a good argument. Lots of people that have played organized sports have emotional, premature responses to trends that their teams experience, and lots of folks that never played have patient responses. Not only that, definitions of patience do not correlate with sports participation and vary with context. Any Venn diagram of unreasonable reactions and sports participation is going to be messy at best.
