I’m guessing Bryson’s skill aet better matches the type of game DG wants the team to play. My concern with that is, as an overall player, he is not the 7th best D man in the organization. He may be the 7th or 8th best with that particular playing style though. Im not sure that is good enough for a team with playoff expectations though.

In general I think that opening night lineup looks to be what DG is planning, but I don’t think Greenway-Mitts-Tuch lasts 3 games if it doesn’t click right away, or if Benson holds back Skinner-Thompson. In that case JS-TT-AT gets reunited and Benson moves to Mitts line.

I am betting the plan is to come out high octane and catch as many teams as they can while teams are still coalescing. But they will transition to a tighter game much, much earlier than they did last season, like mid November.

Will be interesting to watch the Gaetz-McCarthy civil war play out. I was curious if the dems would attempt a coalition government and freeze the Chaos Coalition out. But I can’t say I am surprised to hear they are gonna let McCarthy swing in the breeze given how many times he has sabotaged previous bargains. Who is your bet for next speaker?
