  1. Will be interesting to see if Granato can keep the focus and intensity up with playoff chances barely mathematically possible.
  2. Granato mentioned previously that Tage would be ready when the pain was manageable, no? So I don’t see how you put this on the trainers or Granato.
  3. They don’t need to send a goalie down. We will see a 3 headed monster next season unless a bunch of injuries leaves us no choice but to send a goalie down.
  4. Don’t hold your breath waiting for a backup plan. No doubt in my mind that we stand pat on goalies. This is what KA was waiting for.
  5. I said the same to my son last night.
  6. Another thing to consider… What decent veteran goalie signs a 1 or 2 yr deal? And what decent veteran comes knowing that the chosen one has already been anointed? It would be a goalie already relegated to life as a backup.
  7. Power doesn’t initiate contact either. I hope that changes as well.
  8. I agree that the Sabres and Levi would be better served with a proven vet. I just don’t think that is what will happen. I think there will be a competition among who we have currently and the winner will start about 40ish games. Id be pleasantly surprised if KA got a good vet netminder and UPL and Comrie weren’t on the roster. There is this as well
  9. UPL and Comrie both under contract for next season, no? I realize either or both could be sent to Roc next season, but if I were betting on it I’d put my money on a 3 headed monster of Levi, UPL, and Comrie with one getting 40 or so games and the other two splitting the rest.
  10. While disappointing, the end result surely wasn’t unexpected. That was a playoff tested team that refused to go down. Hopefully the boys are learning from it. I want to echo PerraultForever. The team needs to learn to initiate the physicality and force the other team into adjusting to it. I couldn’t watch the whole game. From what I did see, Tuch stood out to me. Expectedly. His playoff environment experience was on display. We could have used a little more of that.
  11. Is it just me, or am I the only one who thinks the worst thing about this loss is that Tay-chuck was the one with the game winner?
  12. Greasy, white paper. Ie. translucent
  13. The kid is an ass, and I’m not interested in defending him at all, but if every bully and general ***** head didnt grow out of their ***** headedness there would be alot more sociopaths in the world. Hmmm…. Maybe he’s got Corporate Director somewhere in his future.
  14. If there is one thing the last decade + of wandering in the desert has shown me it’s, just watch to be entertained. ***** the details. ***** the tiny things. Was it a joy to watch? The rest brings misery and stress. Im back to watching like I was 13 again.
  15. A snob that prefers fresh wine over old wine.
  16. I mean, if you don’t care that last season was another unwatchable season that could have been avoided, why show up atoll? Like I said, mixed feelings here.
  17. Like I said elsewhere, this ***** goalie situation was manufactured by KA to kiss Levi’s ass. Im not sure how I feel about that to be honest.
  18. They did for one game. It it was sustainable we would have seen it at others times during the season.
  19. The main evidence against Levi is, there is very little evidence at the NHL level. As long as the coach is picking based on a performance evaluation and not a dont block the kid evaluation I am good.
  20. This is game changing info for me. However, shots in anger during in game situations tend to be a different animal. Based on him being a wall in practice, Id give him the benefit of the doubt, but if there is any sign of cracking in game, I’d be quick with the hook.
  21. He has. He’s shown he belongs at this level. Im still not convinced that he’s on our roster when we are in the conversation about the Stanley Cup. I think we’ll need to move him because he’ll require more salary to keep, Especially when some of the kids on the cusp show they can replace his offense. Maybe he’s the Patrick Sharpe that Sam didn’t quite end up. He’s a better center than Sam IMO, although Sam is a better wing. Ive said in the past that I get a Derrick Brassard/ Kyle Turris type vibe out of Mitts. Seems more and more to me that this might be about right.
