Bogo for Barrie I could tolerate, nothing more however
-
Wow, who would of thought I'm not doing that in a million years
-
Nope, I want my 2017 1st unless I have my socks blown off with someone who can step right in next year. Keller and most of the other prospects can't do that. In terms of moving back into the 1st I'd be tempted to trade up if Keller, Chychrun, or Bean were sitting there at about 20 overall, or Mcovoy or Jones were there at 28 overall but that's about it. 15. Wild -- too costly 16. Red Wings -- too costly 17. Predators -- too costly 18. Flyers -- too costly 19. Islanders -- too costly 20. Coyotes (from NYR) -- might be willing to 21. Carolina (LAK) -- unlikely to want more picks 22. Jets (from CHI) -- 2 1sts 1 2nd no 3rds, potential 23. Panthers -- 1 1st, 1 2nd(from VAN) No 3rds potential 24. Ducks -- 1 1st, no 2nds, and 1 3rd, potential 25. Stars -- 1 1st, no 2nds, and 1 3rd (from SJS), potential 26. Capitals -- 1 1st, nothing until 4th, serious potential 27. Lightning -- 1 1st, 2 2nds, 1 3rd, unlikely 28. Blues -- 1 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd (from WAS), maybe? 29. Leafs (from Pitt) -- Who knows 30. Bruins (from SJS) -- 2 1sts, 2 2nds (NYI and EDM) no 3rds, serious potential From 38.

Give him 7/8 years at 5.75 and call it a day. None of this 3 year bridge nonsense, all that will do is likely cost us a boatload in the cap and cost us other players. Myers does not equate with Risto. So don't be terrified to commit due to the last one being a failure. It would be a humongous blunder to sign him to a shorter contract, watch him explode and then have to pay him 9 or 10 mil a year along with Reinhart and Eichel only a couple years later. Risto is definitely a good Dman, at worst he's a #3 guy who 5.75mil would seem higher, but would be less so as the years go by and the cap eventually rises again.
-
3 x 4.75mil 34yr old winger, I'd give a 3rd for him. Mainly because he's a gritty playoff performer so even at 37/38 yrs old he'd still be useful since he fits in as a 4th liner. But I'd only trade for him if we get a Dman at 8
-
Maybe 5 interview the kid while other 20 try to distract him to test his ability to focus?
-
Too rich in my opinion for another RHD, and Bailey is a local so I'd never trade him barring ridiculous over-payment Girgs, Baptiste, Gorges for Barrie and #130 Then we'd have 3 straight picks in the 5th :)
-
But Zemgus  and then we'd have 5 RHDs and 1 LHD Replace Gorges with Franson (it could work since Franson is sort of Roy's type of PP Specialist who is a 3rd pairing guy with a bit of grit.)
-
But Zemgus is my favorite player
-
Can't wait for the inside scoop
-
Yes but none of them are as good as the top guys, I'd rather have 1 Great prospect than 2 good ones.
-
No, quality trumps quantity in this situation. We have a better chance of none of the good D being there at 14 than finding a diamond at 23.
-
If Pysyk + 8 and a 3rd got us 4th overall and Columbus called asking for Girgensons to move up to 3 would you do it? I'd certainly be torn.
-
Matthews is somehow better than Reinhart and Galchenyuk...... Maybe next time he'll be considered that but this year its nothing but a marketing gimmick.
-
Supposedly some think Logan Brown will be Vancouver's pick now that they traded for Gudbranson
-
Chad Johnson would have to think that aside from Calgary, Buffalo would likely be his best spot to get 25+ games. Lehner looks great, but seems a tad injury prone.
-
I want Matthews to fail in Toronto, then head home to Arizona and turn into a superstar akin to Eichel and McDavid again.
-
From what I've seen maybe one of the best ever. Sadly I'm too young for anything really prior to 2000 and since then we really have only had great defensemen not really any all time team worthy guys. Campbell comes pretty close though varying what All-Sabres D core your looking for. McKee reminds me a lot of Hjalmarsson on Chicago and Gorges. He seemed to be somewhere between them although closer to Hjalmarsson.
-
I'd trade Pysyk, 8th, and a 3rd or 2 for Edmonton's 4th overall Why? 2 Reasons 1. There's a slim chance Puljujarvi may fall to 4, after all Columbus needs a C not a winger. 2. You get the pick of the litter of the 4 to 10 section Tychuck or Juolevi
-
I wouldn't trade Reinhart for Puljujarvi or Laine to be honest. Reinhart has already shown he's good and adaptable while hitting it off with Eichel. Laine and Pulj haven't played 1 minute in the NHL and I wouldn't risk hoping either of them hit it off with Eichel like Reinhart has. Kane & Toews are friends and mutually respect one another's ability, as seen in their multiple matching contracts. I hope to see Eichel and Reinhart continue towards that. Part of what made Kane and Toews buddies was they were both rookies at the same time akin to that of how Eichel and Reinhart entered the league together. As great as Laine/Pulj seem to be, I'll keep the guy who has already meshed with my other superstar over risking it for a marginal improvement. Not to mention I think Reinhart will be fine as a winger if he's with Eichel, he'll merely adapt like he has. Maybe in 3 or 4 years they'll both be superstars and we'll be able to split them up 1C & 2C with ROR on the wing but just because Reinhart is a C by trade doesn't men I'm going to force a square block into a circle slot for the sake of making Reinhart a C.

82 games 24 goals 39 assists 63 points MacKinnon's rookie year 81 games 24 goals 32 assists 56 points Eichel's rookie year However MacKinnon did have a better team than Eichel with consistently better linemates most of the season. Compare the Avs of 2013-14 http://avalanche.nhl.com/club/stats.htm?season=20132014 with that of our Sabres http://sabres.nhl.com/club/stats.htm I'd say the comparison more than makes up for Eichel's 7 fewer assists. Is Eichel Crosby to MacKinnon, no, but he does seem better comparatively.

The 3.9 was me commenting on your offer sheet for only a 2nd rounder. You'd only be able to offer up to 3.9mil for the cost to be a 2nd rounder
-
I think Barrie would require the #8 overall. Granted I may be willing to do that, though we'd have a logjam on the right side, we'd suddenly have 2 40+pts D men
-
Don't make me choose, I actually like Bogo. I'd disagree only in the sense we don't know what Barrie wants.
