  1. Thought about mentioning that, didn't know if it would of been noticed :)
  2. Girgs seems to like the role of supporting a star. While he can do stuff, he's willing to not take the accolades and assist others. He seems to value winning more than anything. He works well with Eichel, like he had with Ennis, because he seems to just understand that at any moment the puck may find him or to be on the lookout for them to find space. Great win! The end was nailbiting but they definitely were tired so I'm only somewhat angry with their turtling.
  3. So disappointing to lose yet again but on the bright side Eichel and Girgs looked great together and even Moulson looked less like a zombie out there. If I'm angry at anything it would have to be the refs on the softer calls against us yet our guys were hacked and slashed with nothing called from it. That and we have negative puck luck, that 4th goal was pure luck of it hitting Bogo's stick and going directly and cleanly to Miller. And the first was a bit of a lucky bounce but at least Gionta's sorta cancels it out. Stop pulling the goalie, our offense looks inept with 6-5. Eich and Girgs! :)
  4. Unless Ennis = Shattenkirk I doubt I have much interest, not even mentioning he's another rightie.
  5. Would Barrie even work here seeing as he's a RHD? Risto didn't look great on his offside which is why I'm asking. Not to mention the idea Buffalo taking Barrie due to contract problems would be hilarious.
  6. But it doesn't work that way... If Bickell had McGinn's contract he might be worth it to a playoff team thanks to his amazing playoffs in 2013. Supply is low, Demand is high; thus making McGinn worth more than Stewart was last year. Also remember Stewart was originally able to fetch a 2nd + Spooner from Boston but GMTM gambled he could get more for him.
  7. Let's see if it works again! ROR & McGinn versus their old team. I hope ROR scores a hatty just to smite Roy for his comments.
  8. Does this reduce Drouin's value?
  9. That'd kick ###.
  10. Great picture, Bogo looks insane and OEL looks confused by something. Awesome win all around, you guys have said anything I would of mentioned so why bother. Instead I'll just listen to the Win song on repeat and smile like Bogo Poor Risto and his penalty minutes, well worth those though
  11. We won last time so here we go again.
  12. Just imagine if we can fetch two late 1sts for McGinn and Franson and a 3rd or 2. We could go out and get ourselves a Dman very likely
  13. Hey, I've gotten better over the years......Eklund hasn't
  14. I see it that way, if we lose we get closer to the bottom, if we win we gain more successful info on our new core. This season at least, we can't really lose since no matter what we are rewarded in some way.
  15. 2nd favorite win this season, only the comeback against the Bruins was cooler. Eichel is slowing down again, but he still draws penalties, two or three, and has spurts of what we like to see out of him. They actually played a complete game tonight, I'm going to miss the Risto-Ovi dual until next year. Aside from Risto-Lucic, ts my favorite match-up to see. I think Moulson had 1 nice shift tonight, then faded into nothingness. Legwand and Gionta both looked solid for our geezer corp. Kane and Bogo have been playing more physical, and when they do it shows. Pysyk is awesome, Risto was great, and even Weber wasn't half bad. Honestly after his return from injury, Weber has looked rather competent and capable. Great game guys!!
  16. Varone showcase anyone? What could he fetch, a 5th at best maybe?
  17. Barrie is a right hand shot so I can see a slight problem in him, unless he plays on the left side frequently. As for Pysyk for Drouin, I'd be very torn. Pysyk could become quite the effective defenseman with his possession skills and calm demeanor. However I doubt that's what they'd want. They probably want Girgs, Pysyk and a 2nd for Drouin and I wouldn't do that. I'd be more into Torey Krug since he more of a lesser Barrie, left handed shot on a team already strapped for cap room.
  18. The one thing about the Lehner trade that may save it to some extent is how important Legwand has been supposedly to the leadership and locker room morale. When a cap dump actually gives you something, that's a great bonus. Edmonton did that, that is only draft players and wait for them to develop. The league isn't in a vacuum, your team, regardless of age, will be playing 82 games and many of the younger players may get to play against idols of theirs. Where Edmonton has failed was in that they didn't make the O'Reilly type deal, or hell even the Gionta signing. Vets are key to bringing the youngsters up to speed, and teaching them about how to be an NHLer. Did we overpay, yes, in most of the trades. But that being said, we can't have an unlimited pool of prospects; it doesn't help you since you are limited to 50 contracts. Would I'd of like to have kept all the good prospects, sure, but you can't enter the marketplace without something of value. Not only that however, the fact Murray has been going after specific types of players shows he's trying to construct a team, not just acquiring players willy-nilly.
  19. Aside from the obvious, needing a consistently good team, I'd say it might be a sign of the times. 10 years ago the team was better, and smart phones were't a huge deal yet. People were more invested in the game itself, versus just being there for a game. Nowadays as the team's play wanes during a game, they go to their phones and the old cheering to wake up the team has fallen by the wayside. Not to mention the stadium experience seems better for the summer games than any regular season game. What happened to the Jumbotron graphics? What happened to the music, where's the old "we will rock you" and other related "Sports" songs? If there is anything I'm disappointed in, its the fact ticket prices go up, yet the actual stadium experience has gone down.
  20. I'm unhappy about Pysyk but I do understand it a little. Boston is extremely physical, so Weber actually fits in well for tonight's game. Also, he may just not want to start two different guys who are coming off month+ injuries.
  21. Love this https://twitter.com/ViasatSportFI/status/687250392644763649
  22. Just imagine...... Laine-Eichel-Reinhart Supposedly he's better on LW or Girgs(if he returns to form)-Eichel-Puljujarvi McGinn?-O'Reilly-Reinhart
  23. Moulson's character is 100x better than the Princess's
