  1. Good God are all Isles games boring as hell and unceasingly annoying
  2. I’m so sick of our rotten luck that we have every freaking game. Pucks bouncing off stansions into scoring positions, hitting legs and never going to our guys, etc. We haven’t played great but we have deserved at least a bit more luck.
  3. 1. Refs never made any signal for icing 2. Refs will typically let it go in that situation since Dahlin is skating inside the logo and it’s in the last minute of the game. 2b. Even more so due to the type of shoot in; it was a hard shot versus a bloop. More often than not a player will get that waived as good 3. Refs and Linemen seemed lax most the game on everything
  4. Arguably the saddest part of this game was that a career AHLer in Prow looked more competent than a supposed NHLer in Butcher. Butcher has left me baffled and disappointed throughout this season; I expected at very least a solid offensive defenseman with a burr in his saddle after getting traded via a literal bribe. Instead he’s been merely offensive to watch. Hagg, Pysyk, Miller, etc all have their warts but always seem to at least be making an effort to surpass their shortcomings. Butcher seems to revel in his warts and keep banging his head against a wall instead of looking for the door. I hope we can get Girgs and Cozens back soon, in regards to forwards. Those two are arguably our best 2-way centers and Thompson ends up somewhat neutered by having to play both roles during the entire game. Eakin had an ok game, but he still leaves so much more behind. The line of Eakin, Hayden, and Bjork was torturous to watch since almost any offensive output felt impossible. Hayden works his ass off, but can’t score for the life of him. Bjork is fast, sometimes looks like he might do something but typically screws up. Eakin plays 1 of 2 ways, horridly with endless pain inducing gaffes or occasionally ok with 3/4th of the meat still on the bone. Put them together and you get at best skaters moving fast and existing
  5. Any idea why the faceoff came all the way back down the ice. Dahlin looked to be close enough to the red line and everyone looked onside. Sucks to lose but now we have another game tomorrow night and hopefully we can get some guys back.
  6. NJD benefitted from the break by getting back players and stopping their skid. BUF, just like last season, gets hot and then put into a COVID break. Now we are down to nearly the bottom of the barrel in defenseman. I need them to bounce back but they do have a legitimate reason to be cold. Dahlin Jokiharju Pysyk Miller (out) Hagg (out) Bryson (out) Butcher Fitzgerald Samuelsson (out) Prow
  7. Probably the largest crowd this year
  8. I think Peterka scores tomorrow, I just have this guy feeling that he’ll hit it off with Tuch and they’ll just go flying up the rink while Thompson awkwardly yells, “Wait for me!” Before Thompson gets a goal as the trailer. Peterka’s goal will be within 4 feet of the net
  9. This is getting absurd, open taxi squads and move on! COVID isn't going to vanish anytime soon and they'll need to just deal with it.
  10. I could see them using the new right to add a minority owner to help run the Business part
  11. 1. Bi-weekly testing for all players; Bertuzzi must test daily 2. Every player on COVID Reserve gives your team "1mil" in Short Term Cap Space (Can only be used on players making 1 mil or less) 3. Add Emergency Contract Slots, if a team hits their contract limit and gets COVID problems, they'd be allowed to temporarily go over the Contract Limit 4. Pseudo-Taxi Squads - All Teams can place 4 skater and 1 goalie making under 1.5 mil on a Team's Taxi Squad; players here would be immune from Waivers, can play for the AHL team still but can be accessed if needed 5. Besides that, teams should be smart and make their own general rules on how lax or draconic they want them. Obviously teams that get sick will be at a disadvantage but all teams would be in the same boat. Games can only be delayed in the event either both teams have 6 players on COVID Reserve or 1 team has 9 or more.
  12. Again it won't accomplish anything
  13. The good news is that unlike the past few years with hot starts; we've actually started a legitimately good set of games after the original "hot start"
  14. Seeing as Dan’s view is the same as all of us I can certainly understand his reaction
  15. They could but they shouldn’t as it really wouldn’t accomplish anything overall. A pause would give COViD teams a chance to heal but doesn’t accomplish anything else. That’s why team by team pauses make more sense.
  16. As long as they don't shut it completely down we'll be fine. There's zero reason to cancel games or shut the league down completely when COVID isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Cancel participation in the Olympics and use those three weeks to schedule all the delayed games.
  17. Supposedly, according to Friedman, the Sabres asked for Zegras, Drysdale and 2 1sts from Anaheim. Also Anaheim was not for the ADR surgery
  18. Miller(50%) ends up getting a conditional 1st (2nd that can become a 1st) by some desperate team Hino fetches a 3rd/4th Butcher(50%) a 6th or 7th with some conditions to get a little better Hagg ends up dealt for 3rd/4th Bjork perhaps for a 3rd
  19. I’d go after him with Johnson, Florida’s 1st, Philly’s 2nd and our 2nd this year He’s the wrong handiness but he has everything else you need in a Dman. Dahlin can just shift over if need be. Chychrun - Dahlin Power - Vet(Letang) Samuelsson - Jokiharju Pysyk/Bryson Even my desire to sign Letang would work still. That would be a potentially very stacked D group lol.
  20. What an absolute screwjob by the refs at the end. They tripped Mersh and the puck entered the empty net directly due to the penalty; good goal for CLT?
