  1. If there's one thing I like about Hagg is that he still plays like a Flyer, dirty. The Sabres need some of that.
  2. Supposedly Chicago is looking to unload Shaw’s LTIR contract. Strome & Shaw for Bjork anyone 😉
  3. You are incorrect good Digger; Hall went after the Sabres but Lazar said nothing of note. 🙂 I would keep Eichel hostage or literally give him to Seattle with the condition they don't trade him before I'd trade with Boston.
  4. Every season, before it begins I set up a spreadsheet with the full schedule and take a guess at the record. I have a Conservative Estimate and a Hopeful Estimate. Last year I literally just spammed W, L, OTL due to the schedule screwing around so much thus so far I'm 2 for 3 in surrounding the final point total. For this season: Conservative: 24-32-13 for 61 points Hopeful: 35-18-16 for 86 points Now for the general stuff: 1) Leading scorers - Goals, Assists and Points Mitts (24 goals), Dahlin (44 assists), Mitts (59 points) 2) Team record 28 - 36 - 18 for 74 points 3) Team MVP Mitts (24 goals, 35 assists, 59 points) 4) Team ROY R2 (15 goals, 15 assists, 30 points) in 68 games Peterka (9 goals, 10 assists, 19 points) in 38 games 5) First Player traded Eichel to CGY for Monahan, Dube, Zary and a '22 1st that moves to '23 if he doesn't play this year Monahan is moved without playing here 6) First player recalled from Rochester Peterka 7) Surprising in season move (trade or acquistion) Olofsson, Miller and Bjork are dealt 8.) Best surprise players Okposo and Girgs restart the OG line with a new friend 9) Biggest disappointment Cozens struggles with being 2C and is sent to Rochester akin to MItts but when Mitts should have been. Any other bold predictions (or not so bold). Sabres actually turn out to be a thorn in the side of many teams throughout the season and finish 3rd from the bottom ahead of Arizona and Anaheim. Buffalo wins the Lottery While record isn't great, most forum members actually feel pretty good as to where the team is going. The Analytics Department grows in the Front Office and shows more influence as the year continues.
  5. Where exactly is Seattle on the Waiver List?
  6. Go get Barre KA, and maybe Subban too
  7. He’s surprisingly looked better at center; keeps him moving
  8. Sort of, minus the D1 force feeding
  9. I wouldn't hate any possible deal. But yours is giving us far too much risk due to our current situation. Plus I really don't want him traded in the Conference, especially any divisional team or NYR
  10. They don't have a 1st in 2022
  11. Nope, I'm not risking my '23 1st. Because knowing our luck he'll take 2 years to repair himself, and they'll win the lottery with our pick and get Berard. I'd offer Florida's 1st but never any of our 1sts.
  12. That's the part I don't understand. Why do people seem almost giddy with the idea of the Sabres failing. Certainly sounds like you want them to fail versus merely expecting them to fail. I know you have a problem with KA but if he succeeds we are all better off.
  13. I'd wait to be honest as the former would be a travesty and put the Sabres management in the crosshairs of every Sabres fan who even relaxed their aim.
  14. Carolina might be in hot water due to them scheduling only 4 preseason games this year and the CBA requires 6 to be played. Furthermore MTL may have tattled on them. 🤣
  15. Well I'd tell Brisson I disagree and he can go on as many radio shows and podcasts as he wants but it won't change that I want significant value for Eichel.
  16. My guess is we get 1 Top Prospect as the payment for Eichel. 1 or 2 Cap Casualties to level the salary cap An assortment of conditional picks
  17. I don't want him anywhere our youngsters this time around.
  18. I wonder if the Sabres could agree to a deal with Anaheim in which he has the surgery while a "Sabre" and then is sent to Anaheim with the Sabres agreeing to pay the percent insurance doesn't cover if he ends up flaming out due to the surgery.
  19. At minimum the Sabres should demand a Bluechip Prospect, a cap dump and some conditional stuff.
  20. Vogl's anti-Sabre bias is easily seen by the title's blurb. Nothing in the article points to the Sabres being forced to trade Eichel on the cheap like he seems to want to conclude.
  21. I can honestly understand both sides; at this point though I would let him have the surgery he wants. If he's willing to potentially end his career in order to get this operation then who are we to stop him. My whole run-them-around is in order to not give the idea we are over ruling our team doctors. If the appearance is that of a rogue action by Eichel versus Adams telling him to do it; everyone saves face.
  22. I said with pay, not without pay
  23. But that’s the thing, there wasn’t any other goalies available to sign of higher quality. Plus who’s to say KA didn’t hunt the trade market. Just look how much Colorado had to pay to get Kuemper from Arizona. Obviously the Sabres shouldn’t be trading 1sts for goalies. And if CBJ is asking for the same for Korpisalo then he’s wise not to make that trade either.
