  1. Here's another one Eichel, Johnson and 2023 3rd for Tuch, Theodore and Krebs with a conditional '23 1st in the event Eichel plays 50 games or gets 50 points in 23. Reacquire Borgen for a 5th or something. I actually like the team that sets up. It gives us a top end defense Dahlin - Theodore Power - Jokiharju Samuelsson - Borgen Pysyk (as the ever useful 7th Dman) You'd have Mitts, Krebs, Cozens, "Thompson?", Girgensons at Center depth, Olofsson, Tuch, Quinn, Okposo at RW Asplund, Peterka, Skinner, Murray? at LW Then whatever we draft with our pick would be gravy; win the lottery and we'd instantaneously have a playoff roster with depth, skill and grit up and down the roster. All we'd need is a goalie. The problem is we can't risk our 1sts in any conditions
  2. How is Brisson not over a couple of those guys?
  3. Well Brisson may have ended up promising his son in order to overcome a Krebs roadblock. Plus he’d be going to a great hockey city with two of his college teammates.
  4. Oh I would want a forward prospect for sure hence Brisson still being in my deal but I’m not all that confident in dual trades
  5. To be honest I’d keep Theodore and just run Dahlin - Theodore Power - Jokijarju Thats a solid balance of youth and varying levels of experience
  6. Buzzkill, probably but friends do tend to acclimate better in new locations.
  7. Eichel & Johnson for Theodore, Tuch, and Brisson + a '22 1st Tuch and Theodore are best friends and have a bachelor house together in Vegas. Theodore would be the elder statesman of the D core at 26 years old but with multiple solid seasons and playoff accolades. Dahlin - Theodore Power - Jokijarju
  8. Strangely, the Wolves have never been related to the Blackhawks.
  9. Dear God was that an ugly game after that soft call on Asplund. But somehow we still stumbled our way out of there with 2 points. What a play by Olofsson
  10. Theodore wouldn’t make much sense but he’s certainly a top end player. Perhaps we’d be sending Johnson with Eichel for Theodore & Tuch +
  11. Sad, disturbing and very disappointing is all I can say after reading the 107 page investigation
  12. I wonder if Chicago's management didn't believe Beach at first due to his apparently bad relationship with Bowman's front office.(Makes sense that a criminal like Aldrich would target him in that case) They did a secret investigation behind the scenes and upon finding out decided to attempt and sweep it under the rug by forcing Aldrich out. Obviously not the right approach but I could certainly understand an initial disbelief; especially in 2010.
  13. TBH, I feel this has gotten out of hand. I’m all for bringing justice for the victim and punishment to the accused but there needs to be a line drawn. If any players knew in June of 2010, do you honestly think any of them would want to torpedo their own hard work and effort by bringing the Chicago police down on them before Game 1 of the Finals? Hell, at the time, John Doe himself may not of wanted it reported until after the Cup run was finished. The peer pressure to ignore what happened at least for a bit would of been huge as John Doe would of also wanted to win the Cup and not ruin it for his teammates. Don’t get me wrong, the Blackhawks botched this whole thing to hell and back and those in power need to be held responsible but I’m sick of this witch hunt on the players. Why are we as a society determined to destroy bystanders? Just because they wanted to stay ignorant or chose to hope another player might have the confidence to speak up isn’t just as criminal as the bastard who did the assault in the first place. Lastly we shouldn’t hold players in 2010 to 2021 standards. Rant over, just tired of Twitter endlessly wanting their Cup stripped and/or players suspended for omission.
  14. I might be tempted to add a conditional set of picks to a team in regards to that situation. Since it wouldn’t be based on signing a contract it should be ok as well. If Eichel is traded again within this contract’s term to any Eastern Conference team then Buffalo receives the original destination team’s unprotected 1sts for as many years as Eichel’s contract continues.
  15. To be honest it may have more to do with us already having a bias against EK whereas for Buffalo people, PK is an idol to kids and thus receives more benefit of the doubt. EK and PK both had rough off-ice problems but EK had a more direct impact on the Sabres and continues to meander into trouble while PK seems to have turned his life around. The race issue is overblown and tends to hold little water when looked into. Racism certainly exists but I completely disagree that it is an inherent part of all criticisms of black people.
  16. Song even fits the team; sort of a chaotic yet triumphant tune.
  17. If he weren't a Leaf, I very well might. The major problem I'd see is our team's size and center depth. We'd have a myriad of small players of varying skill but little grit or size.
  18. If they want Olofsson for Marner, sure 🙂 That is very true
  19. In zero games. He's perfect 🙂
  20. It also comes down to player type, position and the fact I'd never trade Eichel to the Leafs. Eichel goes out west and that's where I'll stand forever.
  21. No, because I don't see Marner as better than Eichel. He's soft and rarely performs in the playoffs.
  22. Dahlin certainly has an aggressive side to him but I'm guessing his face injury and frequent penalties have kept him somewhat meek as the season has been going thus far. Plus from a physical side he's stuck as the defensive guy when paired with Butcher.
  23. As I told one of my work buddies; this is what happens when a team with high end effort and energy with little finishing ability plays while tired. We couldn't break NJ since our players were gassed the entire 2nd and 3rd for the most part. Thanks to Toker though we still got a point and that's a plus. Our next back to back is Nov 12th and 13th versus Edmonton and Toronto respectively. I'd suggest using all 3 extra roster slots to get 2 fresher forwards and 1 fresh dman in for the 2nd game. Still proud of the team though, they never quit but you could just tell they had nothing left to give.
