Actually he's very wrong; Sabres fans sold out the stadium many times during his tenure here. We were raucous in our few nice runs during the starts of a few seasons. His premier scrimmage not only sold out but had thousands watching a livestream. If he wants to have beef with the Front Office, go ahead; but going after the fans is both cowardly and plain idiotic.

Good God did that feel good. Poetic justice to see Tuch steal the puck from EIchel to ice the game. I will always be intrigued by how Eichel can be such an ass and yet still seem to be very good with kids. Perhaps its because they worship him?

Risto is a good dude and a physical player but sadly his experience has yet to change his inability to defend or choose his spots in the slightest. He is pretty much the same player he was 4 or 5 years ago who has an overwhelming urge to abandon his position to hit someone.

I can already hear them praising Eichel..... They'll praise him to a degree that outnumbers all his praise over his entire Sabres career.

Terrible to watch, but I'll give the player credit in that they never gave up. It has to be one of the few blowouts that didn't feel out of reach until midway through the 2nd. I do enjoy seeing Dahlin throw some huge hits though; almost put Vatrano in the bench.

To be honest, there isn’t a coach in the league that doesn’t have 1 or 2 players that he latches to. For whatever reason Granato likes Eakin. Hell it could be as simple as KA told him to keep Eakin in the lineup for trade reasons. Remember last year he benched Eakin 3/4th the time he was coach. Another possibility would be that Granato is becoming confused by Eakin’s lack of improvement no matter what he does with him. And/or trying to find what made him play better for the 1st 10 games or so.

When a team plays the trap, you should be allowed to slew foot everyone of them. Honestly it makes the game so freaking boring. Sabres were sloppy but not terrible for the most part. But thanks to refs and Kings pretending it was a game in 1994 it became a boring affair. And I hope that bas**** traitor Petersen gets hit by a dude riding a bike

God, I just figured out Hayden.... he's Matt Ellis with less skill but more physicality.

Once Don became coach last year you saw Mitts start being a bit more assertive. He has a little of Jeff Skinner's type of fire in him. Cozens is more a "cool" aggressor; he won't do a ton of yelling but he speaks with might behind every word.

I really love when they play like this; a group of guys all pulling the same way and fighting the opponent at every step. Skinner will forever curse Krueger for utterly crushing him for two years. Dahlin being an ass, like all 1Ds tend to be, I love it lol
