Like most coaches. Give Ted Nolan a team with some players and he'll do the same. Put Mike Babcock with our team of mutts at the start of this season and he'd fail miserably as well.

I agree but teams routinely sit stars leading up to the playoffs to rest them. Days off to mend sore bones etc. This stuff happens all the time so if the team were to sit i.e. healthy scratch certain players I don't see the league doing anything of consequence about it.

I have a feeling rick and the rest of the gang find it hard to believe these people have survived this long. They all seem so inept. There's no right way and there's no wrong way to do this thing but there'll be a whole lot of I told you so's no matter how this ends up judging by the holier than thou stance many have taken on this thing. I have no problem stating that high end draft picks are the way to go here and I think many from both sides would agree. Thats all that matters. This team will improve and will be an exciting team to watch again. That benefits everyone. Thats what counts. I'm excited about the team building that will take place going forward regardless of where we pick. I've enjoyed the tearing down of a failed core. Its a process and as someone else said its a journey. We will resemble a team next year and we will make incremental steps towards being a great team and a contender for possibly years to come. Screw the arguments about fandom. Its stupid.

Its just my opinion but he's 1a and Eickel is 1b. He is that much better. 100 points in 38 games in his league puts him ahead of Crosby and a host of others by a wide margin when they competed at that level. I should add he missed about 2 mths due to injury
