It would be nice to see the little guy screw the big guy but I get your point. Almost unlimited resources vs. Jimmy and Chuck in a lightless house.
-
Hard to sum up the episode tonight for me as I was bouncing back and forth between the game but I hope Jimmys bro can hold it together long enough to help him out on the oldies classaction. Pullin for Jimmy to win one here. He deserves it.

Thats too funny. As I was typing that I was thinking bought out or traded.
-
Hell yeah. Hodgson will break out the mini sticks to welcome him to the team.
-
The way she hit Rick upside the head to knock him the f&$@ out added a lot to the show for me.

Come on people your team is winning. Enjoy it. We all knew they would have a meaningless spurt of greatness to end the season.

There's no f'n way the Yotes beat us even once. Resign yourselves to that Biatches.

Good thing Nolans been kicking his butt.

Someone could easily introduce a flu virus into that locker room. The mumps swept through the league earlier in the season. Infestation of crabs ?

I like Michone. I like carol. I like whatshername( the sniper ). They all kick asss.

Well Ricks held it together for some time now but as we now know he still has some head problems. He's essentially turned into the guy Shane was. The sneak peak at next weeks 90 minute season final episode puts carol in even a better light in my books. There will be blood.

Everything is going as planned for Bettman. The Yotes are Garys baby in the desert. The best possible outcome for Bettman is playing out. Buffalo takes both games. We play hard which is all you can ask of a team regardless of the lack of talent. I suppose we need the hockey Gawds to do the rest for us and have us win the lottery. Not feeling too good about the odds.

Marchand stirs the pot well. I still believe despite the score that the Bruins would take this tradeoff 99.9% of the time considering the skill level of the players involved. If your rat/sometime scorer takes possibly the best player in the league off the ice you take that to the bank. The score after the fact is seen in hindsight and doesn't exist at the time of the penalties imo. It just as easily could have gone in the Bruins favour. But they sukc.

Looked to me like Stamkos picked the time.

You can't deny that this is a tradeoff most teams would take. That was my point.

The rat did his job. Took stamkos off his game and out of the game. A good tradeoff for the Bruins.

I remember a time when a good rollicking game of hockey with big hits and beautiful end to end rushes brought the people out of their seats with no need for gimmicks other than an organist or some crazy dude hitting a drum.- 179 replies

It is the way of things grasshopper. Coaches, players, G.M.s have always pushed the boundaries of the rules to get an advantage since sport was invented. The N.H.L. is no different. This was a turnover of epic proportions. We were bound to sukc. The league has changed the rules to hinder teams from tanking to get a generational talent and certain G.M.s have pushed the boundaries further.

I won't deny Toms right. It looks cut and dry. I still don't think you can downplay the part hitting has over a seven game series. If you don't have the puck you knock the other guy off the puck to gain or regain possession or to cause a turnover. Takeaways or turnovers probably would rarely happen without some form of hit or threat of a hit. Teams use it as a tactic when they continually throw the puck into a certain D mans corner to wear him down in a 7 game series. Injuries over the length of a series can shorten a series and many of these come from blocked shots or hits. Blocking shots may save goals but it can cause injuries to your team.
