I used to believe this too. It's never more false. We have talent and we only have 2 players over paid which IMO isn't too bad.

Eichel disgusts me. Even though we sucked, it was at least fun waiting with anticipation for the Eichel line to take the ice. That holy crap pass or shot made it worth even the losses. We know he can so to me it's lack of effort and there's nothing respectable about that. I don't care about how the losing may have him down. One of the things most excellent about hockey compared to most sports is the type of effort these players give even on losing teams.

There's no small victories Rob on a team losing like we do.

No way this is right, unless by minority, you mean less than 50% of the population. I'm not sure there's a single thing more influential on the psyche, than sports in this country.

Well they haven't exactly been in lock step with any coach since. And who cares what those players thought, we were clearly tanking, so none were part of the future. IMO, Ruff had a unique ability to coach teams with completely different skill sets and build a respectable game plan around the type of players he had at that given time.

Have to go back a year but I think letting Ruff go was a blunder.
