  1. Well they must be cheap and stupid like the Pegula's. Look at the can't miss center they all could have had.
  2. There were so many teams dying to trade for ROR - we just rushed it and missed out on a windfall return. Yeah right.
  3. Non stop offensive pressure
  4. What fun it must be to be a fan of either of these teams.
  5. Totally agree
  6. Skinner is an excellent player. It's not his fault we have 1 center that every forward has to play with or be left without a chair when the music stops.
  7. I've always thought this was a factor.
  8. Yeesh. I can't go that far with my frustration with the team. If the Sabres become good - you'll spend some money on them and you'll spend the same as you do today on the Bruins. You love the Sabres more - even if I have to say it for you.
  9. I think he was. Hating the Bruins and wishing we were built like them are entirely different things. He missed the point completely.
  10. We skate 4 players with the ability to perform offensively. Then we expect a young player to come in and develop in that situation?
  11. That's what she said.
  12. Robin Williams Rodney Dangerfield Chris Rock Bob Uecker Norm MacDonald
  13. Should be part of the future. If our young players continue not to be assets than we're more screwed than most realize.
  14. TT is definitely making the Sabres roster and is the type of player that likely determines how we decide to protect players in the expansion draft. If he plays well I think we choose the 7-3-1 route and he may be one of the 7 forwards. In saying that part of his lack of development fell on the Sabres roster itself. There just wasn't a proper line for him to play on that would foster developing a young player that could make mistakes. This has to change because players like TT should be future answers.
  15. That's actually not what he did. I wasn't speaking to the value of the trade.
  16. Is it wrong to mention that in ROR's last year with us we had 62 points - 68 pts this year in 13 less games - and 76 the previous year? ROR went to an excellent team and he thrived, so what? We stunk with him. I fully understand our biggest need is likely 2C and it's easy to correlate ROR to that. I'm still glad ROR isn't our 2C. When I think about how ROR expressed his frustration and how Eichel express his - I see two entirely different things. Not that I'm happy our franchise player is frustrated.
  17. We just don't have enough good offensive players. Why we blame the only good ones we have is beyond me.
  18. Happy Independence Day to all.
  19. You're choosing to ignore the point and that I've said that.
  20. Bottom 6 line? I said they were good defensively and the effort was commendable. But when the 4th line isn't out scoring - the 2nd and 3rd have to and we didn't. Back to the point, with that line and Cozens as the 2C, we're not only screwed but doing a disservice to him.
  21. I thought it was too from a compete stand point but they just did not score. 19,19 and 18 points respectively isn't helping enough offensively. They do a nice job defensively but because it's not a scoring line - it puts that much more pressure on lines 2 and 3. Therefore I really think my statement holds true. JMO
  22. If we're bringing him up to be, tryout for or considered starting out in the top 6 - then we're worse off than I imagined. The 2C hole we have is massive. Meaning it has attached to it too much responsibility and pressure. Our 3rd and 4th lines are so bad that the second must be not only productive but hugely productive. You just don't do that to a 19/20 year old. IMO, he does seem ready for the NHL and he should compete for the 3C spot or the 3rd line winger.
  23. There's no empirical evidence that it would have been a shady deal that could have backfired. We agree that the best scenario happened.
  24. Of course it is but it's pure speculation to believe he would have applied for relocation.
  25. There's no reason to believe he wouldn't have. The Bills weren't sold at a discounted price to flip. Would never be worth the up front capital.
