Thinking the Refs needs to be roundly booed every chance they speak next home game... getting stupid the one sideness... can't watch all the holding on oline when it is called so one sided or not called... combined with all the useless timeouts and annoying ads, I hardly watch football anymore. Yeh can't spend much time over there because folks tend to be so absolutist and critical of a point of view. Generally like your take though I don't totally agree with Allen not having the skills he needs... imo he just that he needs to be more consistent with them and then develop additional ones you describe. Right now, just can't stand McSlappy, don't think he has a clue on offense and while Diabol may be effective he needs some tools... and maybe Allen isn't that answer..., but crap the offense minus an aging Shady is a crap show.

As far as the Amerks acquiring a number 1 center... it ain't happening... show me any minor league team with a number 1 center and I'll show you a parent team that is losing... Any number 1 center in the minors at this point would be playing in the NHL, maybe not as a center... but definitely up with the big club. Gotta be really rare for a number 1 center to stay long in the minors.... maybe a late bloomer.

He didn't look bad, Sabres were skating in mud... looked burnt. He tried to jump up in plays, but didn't have any passes come his way... loved his speed, it was evident. May take a few games to fully adjust, but kid played with some mokie... didn't take crap off anyone. May need to pair him with someone who can clear the front of the net though.

I think its over... think Jack, Skinner and Dhalin and maybe a good word for Bogo and Risto who have been a workhorses.

Somewhere between having a few games and sucking and then sitting and having the coaches in his ear and practicing the way he is supposed to the light switch went on... Man did it go on brightly, hope he keeps it up... er on.

Still think evals are going on and development is still happening... don't think the recent streak is indicative of the work still to be done... more scoring wingers... more depth and at least 1 one more potential top 4 D. Retiring Pommer and Sobotka… finding some tougher 3rd liners that can still skate. Keep developing goaltenders for the future. Sabres don't have the depth or the core of Tampa and the East is tough... but with injuries/sicknesses starting to happen, probably due to all the games recently - depth and young guys are going to be tested to see where the young guns are at. It is going to be good for down the road and PH and JBots will see what they have still to do both talent wise and teaching wise.

Tampa was getting away with a lot of interference last night. Part of it was they kept their feet moving while doing it. Also a lot of quick grabbing of sticks and bs behing the play. Refs let them get away with a lot and it effected Sabres transition plays. PH is going to need to figure out ways to deal with that stuff because it happens a lot in the playoffs and Sabres are going need to figure out how to play thru it. Good learning experience for this young team because Tampa showed them how its done.

Look I agree on Vlad... sorry you are dead wrong on Risto... PS he won us the game on a slap shot in OT... just saying and when his minutes are kept to around 20 I think he is great.

Remind me who is Brett Murray... USHL listed as one of the prospects? Elite prospects says he was drafted in the fourth round 2016... so an overager playing in the USHL... meh.

Or two, give Pommer a break... CJ and Oloffson would be my choices. Any word on how Berglund is doing?
