Caps had a rough game with Carolina last night went to a shoutout. Hopefully the Sabres especially KO is able Foresberg a couple of them early one and the 2nd line keeps up its momentum.

Interesting and agree generally, may need one in development as well. That being said... not sure I'd want to play poker with him... he stated the obvious, didn't rule out anything and basically said what it would take to make a move, a young controlled guy that could be part of this corp. Left out Pilut as well... I think he has shown he is going to be part of that young corp. Thinking the Sabres may want to find a young high end center as well, either with the draft or trade. The St. Louis pick may be the most valuable especially if they start trading the few assets they have or pics. They may stink more next year than this year and if they hold on to their pic this year, that center may be available in either of the next two drafts. I am really liking how the D assets are developing.... You have Ghule, Borgen and Pilut in various stages of getting close... Laaksonen and Samuelson developing all with potential to make the NHL plus the current D of Dahlin, Risto, Bogo, McCabe, Nelson and Baloo who is greatly improved. That is some backend strength. Those four pics could be used depending on the talent either in the draft or available. JBot's scouts seems to have set up the the College and Euro pipeline well, They may be able to find some future gems in later rounds. Forward depth still seems lacking beyond Oloffson, CJ Smith, Nylander and an improving Asplund and who know what Pekar is at the next level but seems to have the drive. Hoping to see more of this coming up in the next two drafts and maybe the Sabres don't make any moves. Still would love to see Tarasenko in a Sabres uniform and Alex Petrangelo is rumored to being shopped by the Blues...

BTW in Bridgeport the AHL affiliate of Isle play... only 25 min from me and maybe 50 from Manhatten plus there are at least 3 maybe more minor league baseball teams in the area. Very fun for the kids.

We live in Northern Westchester, Devils games are just across the bridge from Manhattan and easy and cheap relatively for tickets...next door to where the Giants and Jets play literally... All three teams are within 15 miles of each other. So NYC metro area..yeh. Isle playing in Brooklyn till new stadium is built next to Belmont raceway... gonna be nice based on designs I have seen. Easy to get to by car or train and of course MSG.

Yeh didn't mean it that way... but he is playing way over his head at this point in his game.... doesn't have the speed or the ice awareness to execute today's game and not enough nasty either. He has bounced around and saw him play for the Kings earlier in his career not sure when and he had a bit more going for him then. Just not an NHL level player at this point in his career and over his head... No he doesn't make mistake positionally, but doesn't have it at this level anymore... what I see Nelson being in a few years, ok defender when younger but when your legs slow down and you aren't that fast to begin with... I understand why the Sabres brought him up... experienced and unlikely to be claimed if sent down again and not a huge loss given their long range plans if he is claimed... would rather have Redmond called up, but he would probably be claimed given all the injuries throughout the league on the back end... so there is that. But not sure if he gives the Sabres enough to justify bringing him up...

Ghule is finally done pouting not making the team this year and is playing well... not sure he is the best option yet... Tennyson at least has some NHL experience, but yeh he is garbage.

Interesting Atlantic has 3 teams over 40 points and two very close... Easily right now the toughest division in hockey... Metro doesn't have any.. Central has two and Pacific has 1.

Weird game, liked Erod in with Girgenson and Larrson…. there is your second line... accounted for 2 goals tonight and harassed the Kings all night. Hope Phil keeps it together. Game wasn't great from a play standpoint deal till the third for the Sabres, Sabres need McCabe back badly, that being said Pilut is a tough bugger...

Berglund was hurt and not sure he back to skating the way he was at the beginning of the season. Wouldnt mind moving him up if his bumps and bruises are better. Seems to have more ice awareness than Sobotka. Put hkm with Casey and KO and see, love his size. Sheary, Erod and a sniper Pommer may work. Give Sobotka a maintenance day. Just not sure of Gigensons health... Sobotka could be put back there and it might balance things out a bit if no Girgensons. Man would love to see a sniper alongside Jack ala a young vs of Pommer moving Sam back with Mitts just not sure because of TT being bad version recently. Agreed time to change things up right now.
