The way the Sabres are built and had to be built given the previous 9 years I'd give DG one more year. Or at least half a year and if they arent in a playoff position close to the all star break... buh bye.. that being said they are so young... Get rid of Skinner... again not sure who is a free agent but I'd like to see at least one top six possibly two top forward signings. D depth and guys gonna be pushing from behind shortly... Now can DG actually be a bench coach not just a strategist and developer? Jury is is still out in my mind...

With addition of Byrum the sabres are stacked at D even in pipeline... they have some talent at forward but nothing that is anything but hurry up and wait and see... With Muel coming back I could see Sabres trading one of the D for a forward... maybe Joker... makes sense... also which 3rd line tough with some skill might be a FA... Mitts? Havent looked at who is avail... I still say Sabres are a couple forwards away...

I agree bring Savoi back maybe give the two D some experience and Levi more, rest Uko... better to work them in and around now than next preseason... still call up Kulich and Rosen..

That is not correct... he is a technical teacher and developer... what he is learning on the fly is being a motivated hard nose bench coach... can he get there? He has had a few moments but I am not sure he has it in him to take it to the next level and I think that is what we see.

Nucks play Sabres like it is a road game, solid D take advantage of counter punch chances and momentum but always back on D.. they dont give Sabres speed any room... and play hard down low in their own end... Sabres movement and passing isnt good enough to overcome it despite their speed...
