  1. Has it ever happened that the two teams that met in the very first game of an NFL season also met in the very last game?
  2. Is Donnie gonna give him those limited minutes with skilled offensive line mates or scrubs? And if he does give him higher skilled line mates, are those guys also seeing limited minutes as a result?
  3. I hate to say it, but given what I’ve seen of Kulich so far in the A, his D game makes VO look like a Selke contender. He’s just not close to being ready for the show, imo.
  4. As much as I dread seeing VO back in the lineup, Kulich just isn’t ready. Hard as it may be to believe, he has a worse 200 foot game than VO and is a bigger defensive liability on the ice.
  5. If you watched the entire sequence of that goal and still say that Bryson wasn’t a liability on the play, then I don’t know what to tell you. Simply put, that goal never even has a chance to happen if Bryson makes a routine, competent play with the puck a few seconds prior. Marginal players or not, my criticism is focused on the players in the lineup on any given night. The fact that Bryson isn’t an NHL quality player doesn’t exempt him from me saying he sucks and was a liability in the lineup last night.
  6. He can get three games in before the Sabres are even allowed to practice again.
  7. Watch what Bryson attempted to do a few seconds before the puck found the Shark player who shot and scored. Lazy attempt to control and clear the puck that went directly to the man who shot.
  8. He wasn’t a liability? He was directly involved in both goals against. Bryson.
  9. Stupid and unnecessary icing to end the period. It’s uncanny how un-poised our players are, especially the D corps.
  10. Stillman is worse and Metsa isn’t close to being ready. But yeah, why Bryson indeed.
  11. I know Johnson was the one that deflected the puck, but Bryson is the one that made the scoring sequence possible.
  12. Bryson with a major league screen. Oopie now with a .500 save percentage as a result.
  13. Good for them. But it’s just one game. They’ve had a good game or two in the past as well. Then, like the rest of the pretenders, they disappear for a while. When their good games become the norm vs. the just once in a while, I’ll pay attention again. And not for nothing, this season, like so many others during the drought, was supposed to be the realization of a bright future for this team. Instead, they are exactly what their record says they are; a sub .500 group of wannabe NHL pretenders. So pardon me if, after 30+ years as a STH, I refuse to buy the bullcrap they’re selling any longer.
  14. Last night was fool’s gold. I refuse to get suckered back in by this team full of underachieving and poorly coached NHL wannabes. Beating a slumping Kings team a night after losing to one of the worst teams in the league does nothing to convince me that they’ve turned a corner. Nothing. At. All.
  15. Based on his performance in his last AHL game, I’d say he more suited for a stint with Jacksonville in the ECHL.
