I sleep pretty late, but rarely in my life have a slept past 9-10am, even with boozing, out til dawn, etc.

I was going to write more, but a yelling toddler interrupted me. Get used to that. :)

Prospective Father Advice (this is all "negative" stuff, but it's stuff that I wish I'd taken more to heart): Do everything you think you're going to do when the babies are around RIGHT NOW. You're not going to get to it for months after. If the pregnancy isn't hitting MrsMenace too bad, travel and do everything you can now, too. It's a lot easier caring for a baby when it's on the inside. Don't turn down any help for the first weeks after the kids show up, doubly so for you. MrsPie had help, but due to location it was only a week then we were on our own with some visits from the grandparents. That was, and is, really hard. If you can manage it, stay up late caring for the baby while MrsMenace sleeps for 4 uninterrupted hours and then you sleep for a few hours. Feeding may interrupt that, of course, but do your best.

Maybe it's the last 15 years talking, but I'm uncomfortable calling any scenario where the Bills lose an upset. This team has a knack for losing games.

I'm heartened by the response from the Leafs after Kane ran over their Captain and drew blood. I think I did see one guy skate by with the linesman and say something presumably mean to hurt Kane's feelings. Last year he was on the second line. :)

I have to believe that the Republicans think running an African American will pull minority votes away from the Democrats. That's the only logic I can see. I know that there's almost no way I can vote for someone that appears to believe the earth is 6000 years old.

Let's say Myers and Bogo are a wash and even trade. Kane for Armia (questionable whether he'll ever see serious NHL time), Stafford (rental for two months), Lemieux (may have a Kaleta-like rep if he keeps elbowing heads into the boards), and a pick (50/50 shot to be in the NHL) isn't as bad a deal as you make it out to be. And it's not like this was happening in a vacuum, there were likely other teams calling on Kane as well. This is the kind of trade Darcy wouldn't make because there's risk of the other team getting the better of it. It's too early to tell; if Kane flames out here, WPG wins the trade, obviously. All three of the picks/prospects could wash out as well, in which case Buffalo wins. Sure, Stafford resigned with WPG but there was no guarantee of that at the time, and we'll all have to see whether Stafford was a good signing anyway.
