I'd never go back to CenterIce even if I had cable. Having to remember to record the games ahead of time, figuring out what channel the game is really on (not what the guide tells you), often getting the away team's feed, and having the end of games cut off because the recording didn't go long enough was for the birds. Hopefully you don't feel like I'm ganging up on you, JJ. ;)

I'm guessing Rochester is in the Sabres "area", so you won't get any Sabres games live on gamecenter since they're available in your area on TV. It only really works if you live out of town, and even then I don't get any national games (NBC, NHL Network, etc.) or games against my local team (Flyers).

That just proves children people have terrible taste in music. :) That's not the song I'd have preferred, but it's done now so there's no reason to whine about it.

When a goal is scored and the ref misses it, the play can go on for 10 minutes and that'll be wiped out when the play stops and the review goes back and checks it out. Are you guys mad about that too? The process needs to be streamlined, but "correct" is better than all the arguments for flow and let them play, etc.
-
How so? We run both (more Chrome than FF) and haven't see anything off.

I'm confused as to how this particular rule makes (or doesn't make) money. It's a tradeoff decision "Fairness" vs. "game flow". I don't know which will turn off casual viewers more, delays for review or the perception that the refs blow calls. It's not going to stop the die-hards either way. FWIW, I've seen people here say things like "the NBA is unwatchable due to the inconsistent refs" and similar things about the NFL the last few seasons. Maybe hockey is on to something.

I get what you're saying, but at the point of a frozen puck, both teams have an equal shot at possession. I haven't looked at the rule, so I don't exactly know what the rules are. I'd say the ability to challenge should end when the defending team gains control of the puck, but if the rule is when the puck leaves the zone I can see that too. Control of the puck is somewhat nebulous (right, Buffalo fans?) so I can see the point of having a more deterministic marker like the blue line. Maybe some arbitrary time as well, like 20 seconds, but then you have men huddled around a screen to figure out which centisecond the puck crossed the blue line if it's close. I don't love the rule and I bet it'll get tweaked a bit before it assumes it's ultimate form, but I think it has some value too. I'm not sure putting it in the coaches hand is the right call though, I'd have just made offsides part of the booth review.
-
Because of that? So if we were talking football, you'd be mad if someone scored a touchdown if on the previous play there was a missed offsides?

I don't think you'll get a taker, you might have to waive Texas to get a taker. Hopefully someone picks it up, otherwise you'll still be paying Texas but it'll be with Pureto Rico and the Philippines.

I'm confused, are you asking if he used his beard to make a new sweater, or woven his beard into an existing sweater to make a permanent man/sweater hybrid. Also, it's it "we've' now?

I was suggesting an alternate method to semaphore flags. That's a signal lamp, you flash Morse with it. Semaphore flags are a different system, where the two flags in someone's arm are used in combination to spell out letters. I'm guessing semaphore is pre-Morse (pre telegraph). This explains it pretty well. It also covers signal lamps at the end:

I tweeted Marty something like that last year when the Sabres were out of GTs, and he replied "I'm crazy, but not that crazy."

I'll chime in: many of the people from Texas haven't exactly been humble, which is a mark against them in my book. They're like Yankees fans or Boston fans, but an entire state. Plus, Texas always seem to come up with some cockamamie BS, like the Jade Helm nonsense and their "interesting" text books.

Presumably they break this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JylbxFYc83k

So what you're saying is you lured children from a soccer team individually into a private room to play music for them. Do I have that correct, sir?

My guess is there are a few rookies that haven't kicked enough to be statistically relevant.

As I said, it's like they're devious little human beings.

Have you seen the average Buffalonian? The jiggle-aftershocks would be catastrophic!

That just proves children have terrible taste in music. :) (Or are the republicans worst nightmare of fraudulent voting; they're like devious, tiny, people!)

I can't get past the idea that a sax loop is more annoying that 20000 people singing at the top of their lungs. You can't sing LMCMT, therefore it's a bad choice.

Despite the click-baity title, this is an interesting read: http://www.thenation.com/article/combat-vets-destroy-the-nras-heroic-gunslinger-fantasy/ EDIT: happened to see this too, woman shoots at car in home depot parking lot to attempt to stop shoplifters. This is why more guns is questionable. Is killing a person worth it to save Home Depot a couple bucks? http://www.wxyz.com/news/region/oakland-county/customer-shoots-at-two-suspected-shoplifters-as-they-leave-auburn-hills-home-depot#Customer%20shoots%20at%20shoplifters

I always took that to be a mostly static list of other teams' message boards, and doesn't need to be updated too often. I'm sure there's probably a few in there that are out of date, but I don't think it gets looked at other than when we are looking to really understand a team, like in a play-off series. That may explain the lack of traffic too. :)

And SDS will be livid, muttering, "I knew this would happen when we picked that song."
