Aren't those guys like 8 feet tall? The wear and tear on them from their sport should be a bit different than hockey. I'd be curious to see if there are some examples out there of hockey players going through it... or even non-giants in other sports.
Lombardi can't be too surprised about it though. He had to know Boston would probably send him somewhere else given their current goalie situation. You open the door for Jones to be sent to a close rival when you trade him to a team that doesn't need a goalie.
The same player they actually hired for a league job while he's still on a team's cap and payroll (there has to be some sort of payout, right?). Conflict of interest?
This is all you need to know:
She even fell into the same trap. You'd think that since it's a prison show, she wouldn't be able to constantly change the location like she did with Weeds. Instead, with all the endless backstories, she managed to do just that.
Does the ice time mean all that much when he's competing for time with the likes of Jamie McBain and the corpse of Robyn Regehr? I'm sure they're happy with him, but I'm not ready to judge a trade when the top piece going the other way is still playing in the NCAA. They're trying to build up this Sabre team in a specific way and Fasching fits that more than McNabb does. I'm not going to evaluate a trade based on where a guy will "probably" play.
They traded for him... or at least that's how it was described at first. It's listed as a future considerations deal and I bet you're right, we ultimately didn't give up anything.
It doesn't help that I watched it after finishing Daredevil, but the third season of Orange is the New Black was really really bad. I think my wife may be done with it after this one, so I won't have to watch any more of it.
I'd vote for Andreychuk first. I believe he is now the highest career scorer among HoF eligible players who aren't yet in (is Recchi eligible yet?). Pair that up with him having more PP goals than most players have career goals and I think that should be enough.
And a quick tangent while looking at the all time scoring list. I didn't realize that Jagr could pass Gordie this year if he can duplicate last year's numbers. He'd be second all time if he hadn't left for the KHL.
A tad bit premature, don't you think? Three pieces of the deal haven't even turned pro yet (actually, it looks like their first pick did get a couple games at the end of year).
Given the Slava Voynov stuff, it will be very interesting to see what this incident was. There's already the built in "well you didn't terminate his contract" defense.
All I'm seeing here are lineups will will convince me to pay for center ice this year. Thanks for that.
One quick thought while reading through random comments about Legwand: he could be a useful guy to have as an injury callup from Rochester. At a specific time in the season, being able to recall someone with that level of experience could be a very good thing.
