I think it has as much to do with those specific guys as it does with the fact they you just listed three separate names. If you give that many people a live mic during a game, you're just inviting unnecessary chatter. -
I should have posted the question here... does the league set a limit on the number of foreign players a team can import like the KHL does?

That gate should actually be the first spot that breaks. All that pressure would probably pop the hinges/track pretty quickly. If nothing else, that pressure would also cause the walkers to be torn through the thick gap between bars. So maybe it wouldn't break it down, but they would have one hell of a messy pile up at the gate.

I wonder how the convention in box scores and schedules of listing the home team on the bottom or the right came to be. My two theories are: 1. Miami at Buffalo is much easier to say/write than Buffalo hosting Miami. It sounds better too. 2. It was born from baseball, where the home team bats second.

The Schony clip in that video got me thinking. Check out the refs listed in this boxscore. I'm sad that I have to miss out on the fun that will go on any time he's calling a game.

I watched the game late yesterday and fastforwarded through a lot. Did Kyle Williams (who really needs to grow some dreads, by the way) come back? I really didn't follow too closely.

Are his eyes appropriately spaced? And I love it when we have new european posters joining the board. They have such a unique take on hockey and sports in general. It's always interesting to see how things are viewed in a different part of the world. Maybe someday we'll get representation from each continent. That would be cool. There has to be some Sabre fan stuck in a very isolated research station in Antarctica, right?

My brothers and I had many epic battles on that intellivision baseball game. Actually, I don't know if that's the same one or not because there were two versions of the game that looked identical. One was easier to differentiate between ground balls and fly balls or something like that.
