  1. And the other two, Tynan and Poturalski, are AHL vets with 7+ seasons of experience. Rossi is the next-best rookie with 1.09 pts/gm, followed by Krebs at 1.06.
  2. Actually, I doubt that he throws any. While the longest "in the air" pass in NFL history was supposedly 83 yards in 1935, nobody has come close lately. In a quick search, a few things showed up in articles: 1) Justin Herbert threw a pass 63 yard in the air back in early December that was, at the time, the 2nd-longest in the air this season, 2) Baker Mayfield's incomplete Hail Mary that traveled just over 70 yards (own 39 to back of end zone) was the longest pass attempt in the air ever recorded by Pro Football Focus, 3) several reference the 2015 pass by Aaron Rogers that traveled 66 yards in the air as the longest recorded completion. Now, all of those are likely measured only in "vertical" (downfield) travel, not the diagonal, but most passes that long are pretty much straight.
  3. Yeah, they waited until the play clock had just about run out (4 seconds left), so it wasn't about preserving time on the clock. The Raiders weren't in Victory Formation, but rather were setup to run a play. The only way the Chargers could miss the playoffs was if the Raiders picked up enough on that 3rd down to kick a field goal, so if Staley didn't like what he was seeing, it made sense to call that TO to change things before that pivotal play. Even if they managed to stop LV, the Raiders would have let play clock run to zero and then taken the delay of game (or one of their timeouts) before doing anything on 4th down. That would have left (9 seconds - time taken on the 3rd down - time for squib kick) for the Chargers, which may still have been no time. Had the Chargers stopped it with more time on the clock, I would have thought that they were playing to win. Waiting so long, it definitely seemed more like playing to not lose.
  4. New England is about to pull within one score after being down three scores just minutes ago.
  5. If they technically win the division while playing a game at home, does that still count as "winning it at home," even if they don't win their own game? 🙄
  6. Hccccanging aroung, hcccccanging around, ...
  7. Geez, even as a Bills fan, I don't want them to cut away there ... Edit: 4th down, Ben throws for 10. Would have liked to see that.
  8. Huge stand by the D. Pushed them back out of FG range, then punt went back into the end zone. Basically, just reset the start of the third quarter. Now, be better with that opportunity.
  9. The only reason that I would even consider seeing a movie in a theater right now would be if it's a visual spectacle that has to be seen on a big screen. I'm waiting for Top Gun: Maverick in May (though, it has already been postponed numerous times.)
  10. I was in the same boat, but found that Fubo (which I have for MSG) plays the new episodes on the Paramount channel (as well as CMT.) You can't watch old episodes on demand, but they played a marathon before the start of season 4, and I just set a series record. I now have every episode saved. They started another marathon this afternoon in preparation for Sunday's season 4 finale.
  11. I got into Yellowstone a bit late. Binge-watched the first three seasons right before the fourth launched. Then, they released 1883 (Yellowstone prequal series) while the fourth season was still going. It's annoying that both come out on Sundays, but it's probably to get Yellowstone fans hooked before season four ends. It's also annoying that they play commercials for 1883 during 1883, including scenes that haven't yet happened in that particular episode. The series is OK so far. Sam Elliott's really good, of course.
  12. Yeah, those were crazy. Could be as many as 10 teams in the AFC with between a 7-7 and 8-6 record after tonight, and another two at 9-5. With three games left, there are only three teams in the conference that are out of the playoffs.
  13. 🤬 Tied on a bad bounce off of the backboards.
  14. Nice! Lead with 1:20 left! Edit: Malone with the goal.
  15. The Amerks sent every ounce of their mojo to the Sabres ... at least that's how they are playing (down 7-1, last I checked.)
  16. Switching to the big league game. At least, with the late start, I didn't miss much.
  17. I'm not one pushing the refs narrative, but the bolded is a strawman argument. No one is saying anything close to "nothing to do with" relating to those other things. They made a lot of mistakes yesterday, but still had a chance to win. Very bad (non-)calls still may have determined the final outcome, which sucks. The refs didn't make the Bucs put up 3 points in the second half, punting on 4 (I think) drives and blowing a 20+ point lead, either. Both teams did a lot of good and a lot of bad (in large part due to the other's good play) in regulation, which ultimately led to the Bills throwing for a likely game-winning touchdown, but settling for a game-tying field goal. The difference was a missed call. Note: I do put more blame on the Bills in OT.
  18. I'm a big Josh fan, but a better throw to Beasley in OT gives him an easy first down.
  19. I shut the game off a little before the half. Tried to stay away. Couldn't. Glad I came back.
  20. Yeah, Teves wasn't going to be denied that assist.
  21. Hmmm ... removes the spine ... seems fitting for the current franchise.
  22. I really need to put their schedule into my phone. Completely forgot there was a game last night. Great outcome, anyway!
