  1. I was going to have to watch the game on delay, but it was spoiled by a loud-mouth Dolphins fan. Not knowing how the game went, I couldn't say anything. From the way he was spouting off, I would have thought we got crushed 41-19, not that we made mistakes and suffered heat stoke, dropping a very winnable game 21-19.
  2. If they finish under, then we've all lost our emotional bet.
  3. May have been a costly win for the Steelers, as TJ Watt likely suffered a season-ending pec tear.
  4. That's not very realistic ... Cooper Kupp would have guaranteed them at least 3. 🤪
  5. I'm sure he saw the list of guys that the Bills had brought in and that they were "keeping their options open," and figured that he could go play for them. As one person on FB wrote, "did we just back into a punter upgrade?"
  6. Even as the favorite, they're only given a 14% chance of winning it all. It's like (actual worse than) the chance of the worst team in the NHL winning the draft lottery. If they don't win it all, it won't (necessarily) mean that they "eff'd it up." Last year, in the final 13 second, you could say that they did "eff up" their chance to at least be in the AFC Championship game, because they had it and made bad choices. However, losing to one of the other top teams (Tampa Bay, Green Bay, KC, LAR, LAC, etc) wouldn't necessarily mean they messed up. Overall, they're believed to have a slightly better chance than any one team, but when you have to play at least two of those (plus, one or two a little below them), things are far from guaranteed. Be excited that they've built a team that's top-tier, giving them a real chance every year, and hope that they do what the Bills couldn't do the last time that happened.
  7. Not many choices in there with experience, and Colquitt may have too much experience (40 years old.) Long and Berry seem to be the most qualified. Of course, there aren't stats for holding ...
  8. I don't know, the more pensive-looking photo that they used may have been a better choice than a smiling one. The Bills made the right choice cutting him, even if the timing and the handling of it weren't the best (from appearances, anyway.) It would have been fun to watch him kick, but as a novelty, as much as anything. If he's exonerated, he'll get another shot with someone. It would just have cost him a potential magical run with the 2022 Bills. If not, then he'll deserve whatever he gets for being involved with something so heinous. As with any case, I hope the truth prevails and justice is served. Back to football ... anyone heard who they have brought in (or are bringing in) to try out for the open punter spot?
  9. For her sake, I hope this didn't happen, regardless of who was involved. Nobody should have to endure a fraction of what was alleged to have happened to her. Unfortunately, it seems very likely that it did happen. Anyone involved deserves the full weight of the legal system and a bad stay in prison. A thousand million miles below that, I hope that Araiza wasn't actually involved in any drugging, raping or conspiracy to do, and that the Bills have really good reason to believe that. Otherwise, cut ties now and sign the best holder ... er, punter ... still available.
  10. This was going to be my answer. They'll be in the hunt and may just squeak in ... or not.
  11. Seen a few things lately ... Top Gun: Maverick - Hard to take my nostalgia glasses off to give a fair assessment, but with them on, I loved it. Nothing groundbreaking, but good times and good memories. Really glad I got to see it on the big screen. Also had a bit of old school Iron Eagle feel to it. Jurassic Park: Dominion - The JAG of the Jurassic Park series. A lot of been there, done that, seen it before. Not bad, but I would choose to watch several others in the series before it. The Terminal List - Pretty good action series, but it seemed like things played out faster than I expected. Maybe I'm just used to series dragging things out, now. Thor: Love and Thunder - 95% a good, fun movie. Action and comedy, like you'd expect. The other 5%, well ... I can't remember how to code spoilers here ...
  12. Yeah, they basically give those away for free so they can bleed you dry buying ink refills.
  13. So, does team Martin just "pull the goalie" every faceoff, or do the other three goalies rotate in for them?
  14. Congratulations, Brook Thompson; you're the proud owner of a new boat, a new Mercedes and a new house in the Hamptons!
  15. They are clearly looking at the photographer and he is smiling when the pictures are taken. However, it does seem like his gaze shifts slightly each time he has that sneer look. If the Canadiens' table was front-right, then he wouldn't have had to shift his eyes much to look right at them. Closer to what happened to most, but I'm surprised that you didn't say, "his top five." His fifth choice is pretty reassuring.
  16. I'm so done with the booing commissioners thing. I don't like him either, but this day* isn't about him. He's trying to get the draft started for those players. Stop giving him a bigger role by making that part take even longer and stop covering stories about other important things. * or any similar day where he does an intro
  17. I found this to be very true of Clone Wars, and as such, it was hard to watch. Rebels, however, was far better. There was none of that really annoying narrator that really bothered me in Clone Wars and it generally seemed like it was made for a more mature audience. If you tried Clone Wars first and gave up, give Rebels a try (like several episodes try, not just five minutes.) There are some great stories and characters in it.
  18. I believe that they were more in the gut than the chest: I'm not a (medical) doctor, but I believe that would greatly increase the chance of surviving, if only by giving more time to get medical attention. Anikan should have remembered that Dooku didn't come back:
  19. Played soccer as my main sport throughout my entire childhood, including camps, travel leagues and varsity in high school. Enjoyed playing it, but can't watch it. To me, there's a sweet spot in sports for scoring. Basketball is too high - most scores mean very little to the end result; soccer is too low - it doesn't happen enough to keep things interesting. Hockey, lacrosse and football (US) are all in better spots within the range. Strategy and build-up are fine, but they need to produce results more than once or twice per game. Indoor soccer is arguably more enjoyable. And I've never heard YNWA, but it is very fitting for soccer ... slow and boring. 😋
  20. I don't know if they would have won the game, much less two more, but it sucks to lose on a BS call.
  21. R2's magic wasn't there on that one. Still OT with most of PP to start sounds good.
