  2. Understand your concern but in addition to TV considerations there is also arena availability. Dallas and Boston each have basketball and hockey in addition to everyone having concerts and other events that were scheduled long before the playoffs.
  3. This is infuriating practice from the organization if true

  5. It’s a powerful potion because there’s, unfortunately, a lot of logic in it on its face: if you are merely rooting against a team to NOT win a title, it’s more less a Monty Hall switcharoo where your long odds are flipped: very likely you “get what you want” every year
  6. Even if they weren't. I just want the Sabres to not suck. Everything else is just sour grape BS.
  7. If the teams doing our dirty work are Dallas and Boston, it defeats the purpose With you. my lone exception/guilty pleasure is the Jets, but that’s a home town team dynamic
  8. “Destruction of traditional team building principles.” lol ok Kevyn
  9. What are you even talking about? It’s not a surprise, at all, that a non-healthy Stone would decline game 82 of the regular season and suck it up for a playoff game. Use your noggin Occam’s razor just once Teams have been doing the LTIR then back for playoffs thing for ages. Tampa did it. Your issue is with the league, not the teams Vegas just burns more (by the way, you should get that checked out) because of how much Eichel lives in your head rent free. You can admit that, right? They aren’t sitting a healthy stone out to expose and take advantage of a loophole: that’s a conspiracy theory. They are utilizing an arguably unfair rule because they have a legitimate injury
  10. 49 and I'm my wife's miracle.
  11. will be 34 and no the decline has started to set in. I would get 50 points with Nylander and Bertuzzi as my wingers
  12. Today
  13. spoken by someone who doesnt live in the GTA. Yes, I cheered the Leafs demise, I have every year of my life and Im 54-0 at this point and love it #1967Forever! Are you saying Bills fans should never have taken joy in seeing the Patriots lose, even while the Bills were in their drought? absolutely nothing wrong with being joyful over another teams demise.
  14. Some of what he says is true, and some of it is complete BS. Although his criticism on higher education is refreshing to hear, as are his comments on national debt. If only everyone could work at elite universities, look back 20 to 40+ years, and then tell people what should have been done.
  15. It’s not that the ownership group could not afford to buy him out but rather that there would be no point. There are virtually no cap savings. He is 33. He had 65 points in 80 games.
  16. For the record: Round 2: East CAR @ NYR BOS @ FLA West COL @ DAL EDM @ VAN (Home teams for Game 1 are the higher seed) So I guess my rooting interests are: Carolina (meh, don't care really, but root for the underdog) Florida (i.e. Sabres South) Colorado (go Mittsy!) Vancouver (Buffalo's expansion partner)
  17. too old too slow isnt he like 37 now?
  18. May 17, 18 and 24. https://www.nll.com/news/national-lacrosse-league-finals-to-begin-in-albany-on-friday-may-17/
  19. Too soon to call either conference final IMHO. From the looks of game 1, Carolina is not likely to overcome the Rangers. Dallas had to go the distance with Vegas, and Vegas would have been thoroughly creamed by Colorado.
  20. Actually I think the stat was that Afinogenov played more games for Lindy than any other player.
  21. We have the location advantage and if Marner won't waive for anywhere else it doesn't matter about the market. Remember the Leafs GM traded Tkachuk for Huberdeau and Weegar
  22. I have a hard time believing that Ostland, Rosen and Kulich will all play for the Sabres long term. Maybe one or two, but not all three
